Rich, as long as I'm complaining, I'm having a problem with the New Post Function too. It has been my habit when I open the site to hit New Post and see what I have missed. I have found as of late I am missing about half of the posts.

This morning I saw your new post about taxes but I read another post first and when I came back your taxes post was no longer there.

Sorry to be such a thorn in your side.

As of right now, his Tax thread is the last one that appears on my New Post link. I wonder, it the New Post link user specific, or does it show all the threads that have new posts for a period of time (perhaps 3-4 hours)?
 
I thought it was just me being too slow to go through the new posts! If I log in and there are 20 or so, I start browsing through, but lots of them disappear and then I have to look through the separate sections to see what I've missed.
 
If you use the 'mark as read' function then hit new posts....
It will say...
'There are no new posts for this period... You can view the last 24 hours HERE'
Then they all come back.....
 
Or what I do in the morning is get new posts, there will typically be two or three pages. Open all the pages, so they are saved in the browser's memory, and then read them all at my leisure.

Then when I get to work, there will only be a couple new posts, so I mark them all as read and do the 100 new posts in the last 24 hours thing.
 
Yes I know how it works. What about when you ask for new post in the morning and there are only 4 or 5.
 
I made some changes in the admin section. Let's see if it helps any.....
 
I'm back to only getting a couple new posts in the morning. There is sometimes a short delay between when I start up the browser and when I ask for new posts.
 
I'm getting a big list that stays up for ages, so I can browse other sites and come back to read the new posts here
 
My problem is only the first thing in the morning. I'll only get a couple, or one, post, as new. The rest of the day it's normal. In the past, I'd get 2-4 pages of unread posts in the morning.
