New snakes from Daytona

ArpeggioAngel

Around Here Somewhere....
So I went in to the show with only a female ghost on my list and came home with 4 new snakes. Guess that really isn't too bad? If I would've had the money it would have been a heck of a lot more!! So many beautiful snakes makes it very hard to limit yourself.

Not the best pics because everyone was a little stressed from being on a 3hr car ride today to get home. Just hurried up and took quick shots while putting them in their new homes.

First up is Jude. He was an impulse buy. Not even sure who I bought him from. He was sitting in a display with a bunch of anery mots, right on top. He stuck out like a sore thumb. Had him sexed hoping he was a she...no such luck, but I couldn't pass up his pattern. You can't see in this shot but he has stripes right behind his head that merges into the pattern you can see here:

Since I ended up with a male I didn't intend on getting, I also picked up a female anery zig-zag. She was not cooperative about a photo though and as soon as I put her in the sterlite she disappeared under the aspen. So no pic of her yet, but I will add as soon as I get one.

Next up is Selene. She is a female Silver Queen Ghost from Rich. I wanted a ghost and thought if I could find a Silver Queen that would be ideal. I love the one Joe has - Luna - and hope that as Selene grows up she turns out as beautiful:

And then, to round out my first ever 1.2 trio...here is Dixie. A female Miami from Kathy Love. I already have Clementine, my Miami-phase, and will be getting a male from Carol in a few weeks:

Can't wait for everyone to settle in so I can do my normal outdoor photo shoots to show them off!
Thanks for looking!

Suh-weet! That impulse anery looks like it's actually a cubed anery. Whatever it is, I don't think I could've passed it up either. Congrats on the nice pick-ups.

That's kinda what I thought too, but wasn't sure with the striping he has on his neck if it would still be considered just a cubed anery. The guy had him labeled as an aberrant anery...but the cubing on most of his body is pretty obvious. Now I need to find me a cubed female to go with him....(maybe next show...fingers crossed!!)

Man, that Deans' fast, beat me to it.........
LOL...yeah, he's good like that!

im soo jealous!! i wasnt allowed to buy "anything living" lol. i was going crazy all day

I had a hard time stopping at 4. Days like that are when I really wish I had an unlimited supply of funds!

HeHe...it just so happens that I hatched out some this season!
:grin01:

Congrats on the beautiful snakes. Thanks for posting the pics from the show and the dinner too! I'm green with envy right now at the whole experience!

Yeah, it's a cube. Cubes are a variant of stripe, so yeah. :)
Are you sure? You sound so confident. I have seen many Cubes with a Motley pattern on their necks. Are Cubes also a variation of Motley too? I am not sure what Cubes are myself, except they are very interesting.

Well I've talked to Don and Kathy about cubes, and both have had them pop up from stripe clutches, not motley clutches. I suppose anything is possible, but I'm fairly certain Don considers them stripe. Might be mistaken, though.

Good question! I hatched out cubes from a stripe x stripe breeding this season. I've never seen cubes with a motley pattern on the neck. Got any pics?

Thanks in advance.

I don't even like cubes, but that one is way cool. Maybe I do like cubes, after all, but only anery cubes!

edited to add: WAY COOL!
