*shrug* no matter to me if your snake gets nasty bite. Infection in an exotic should be a fun thing to deal with too. If you can't find thawed locally, order online. I used Canadian Mouseman, overnight shipping from a different province and the total cost still came out to about a dollar per mouse.
I've seen some live fed snakes in pretty bad shape in rescue, one had scars all along it's body. Another had a bite on the face so bad it took out 1 and half nostrils and he has to breath with his mouth open. That probably won't happen with pinks, but when your snake is eating adults who *really* don't want to die you're probably going to have a problem at some point, and it can be a challenge to switch back to thawed.
I also hate the "it's natural/he likes it" argument. Do you toss your dog in a kennel and feed it a live raccoon? That's what would happen in the wild too, right?
I think most people here view live feeding as bad husbandry, it's risky to the snake and has no benefits for the snake, only for the keeper. Which IMO is selfish. I made sure my roommate was fine with mousecicles before I got a snake, and if came to it I would have bought a mini freezer off of craigslist.
So yes, starsevol is a little passionate about corns, but we all here. It is conrsnakes dot com, after all.
