New Year's babies part II

Walter.... Light bulbs are going off in my head about what I just posted on in the tessera-makes-my-head-explode thread!

I'm wondering if the reverses stripe Steve's showing us here might be a missing link on mode of inheritance (co-dom vs incomplete dom vs recessive)....

Fwiw there is a reverse stripe trait present in emoryi too! John Cherry and KJ use to work with them, as did Soderberg. I don't know origin history on that trait though; food for thought.

Chris, this might give us a change in the mode of inheritance, but up until this very point, Motley & Stripe are recessive. If they were co-dom or incomplete dom, you should get visual Motleys and/or Stripes when bred to ANYTHING..............I think it would be best to keep THIS discussion over on my thread as to not hi-jack Steve's postings of all this ugly stuff he keeps showing us ;).................Love Ya Steve :poke:

Walter
:crazy02:BOUT' CORNS !!

OK no more pics for two weeks :angry01: JK :dgrin:

Could the reverse stripe be related to vanishing stripe? Could the 2 stripes possibly be "vanishing" into a single stripe?

Interesting stuff though and gorgeous babies Steve.

Has it been two weeks yet? Oh good lol!

wow that stripe hypo sunkissed is every bit as bright as the others, but he looks like a ticked off little fella as well. Yeah I'm gonna have to wait until you put your available for 2014 up and then decide. They all look great.
