Newbie snake owner - help with morph

New member
Hiya! My name is Becci and I finally gave in to temptation and bought a young corn a few weeks ago. He/she is doing great, eating fine and looks like they may shed soon. Predictably I'd love some help on what morph he/she is, my first guess would be lavender but that's just from looking at a ton of google photos, I'm a complete noob in this area so don't know what I'm looking for.

Thank you in advance :)

It is either a ghost or an ultramel anery. I'm really bad at telling those two apart as hatchlings.

What Shiari said.^

I'm leaning a bit more towards Ghost (Anery + Hypo = Ghost) but if you can get a very clear close up of it's eye, we could give you a better guess between Ghost or Ultramel anery.

I still can't tell even with the eyes. I wait until they get older. "Does the front third of the snake look like it was dipped in yellow? Ultramel anery. Does the front third of the snake just have yellow down near the belly or up to about halfway up the sides? Ghost."

Interesting thankyou! To be honest I don't think there's any yellow at the moment but I suppose that could develop? Can get a pic of the eye tonight, they're like a light purply grey colour. I'll see how they develop.

The guy I got them off adores snakes and breed them but is not totally clued up on morphs. He also had these - any ideas?

Both of them are normal motleys.

The yellow develops with age. You should see some starting by the time he's 6 months old.

She's pretty! I'm leaning more towards ultramel anery, but ghost is more common, so that is more likely. If you take a picture of her in natural lighting, it might be easier to identify the morph. I usually like to take my pictures near a window or outdoors when it's cloudy to best capture the natural colors of the snake.

Thanks guys :) Tavia you mentioned about the eyes - what would you be looking for? Going to try and get a close up of his/her eye tomorrow. Tried to upload a few more pictures as she shed yesterday but I have to resize them

Ultra is also a hypo gene but it looks slightly different than Standard Hypo, so sometimes the pupils look a little different and the color of the bands around the saddles can often look a little different between an Ultra or Hypo snake but it's hard to describe, especially for me, LOL!

Took a few more photos but really struggling with resizing. Plus my phone is shot so I have to get my boyfriend to take photos and he gets bored really quickly >.< couldn't get an eye pic because she wouldn't stop moving when he tried to take one. Will resize the others and get them on but does this help at all, taken in better light
