Hello, I have a 16'' baby king snake.. I prefer this forum :) and corn & kings are fairly similar from what I've read, but I got my lil' guy on the 5th, he's eaten really well three times... but I haven't had any obvious poop.. I had forest floor substrate but the first time I cleaned I put in cage carpet and then the forest floor on part of it, and he still likes to hang out under the cage carpet so I may find it during the next cleaning but just wondering.. I should see poop after each feeding right? how long til food is passed thou the system?

If it's a hatchling, the poo is VERY hard to spot. Think of a brown water-drop sized liquid poo. If you've got brown substrate, forget it!
 
I was sort of curious about this myself i got my corn a week ago and the pet store had fed her the day before and about monday i found a tiny dropping on a piece of her aspen substrate so i picked it out and disposed of it but i was curious as to how large their droppings are when they are young like this. And this dropping was maybe a bit larger then a pin head

Imagine this drying up on brown dirt. To answer your question, how long after a meal will depend somewhat on temperatures and meal size. I find mine are usually empty on day 3 or 4. I feed babies smaller meals a bit more frequently than some folks, though. Some recessive amel combos make the really small ones almost "see through" toward the tail, and you can tell if they passed whether you found it or not!
 
didn't get pooped on but since making this post have found many poops and tonight while I was holding he let loose and we it just missed my hand and landed in the pool. xD
 
Ok ok I know this has been answered, and I am being redundant but I just have to say....honey...it might be hard to see, but believe me....everybody poops!! :)
