So tomorrow/today (3am right now..lol) starts AnimeNext of 2008..and for the first time I am going with a cosplay costume...I'm going to be Misa from "Death Note"...for anyone on here that is an anime fan..You should know what I'm talking about..for those of you who are not..here is the quick rundown...
(Anime is short for Japanese animation, basiclly mature japanese cartoons. Various places hold conventions every year where anime fans can go and cosplay as their favorite characters from various anime shows, movies, and even games..They can also enter contests held there such as best costume, music video competitions and video game competitions. There are also mangas which are anime comic books that are sold there and also artist areas where people who draw anime as either a hobby/job/just for fun..can go and sell their artwork..)
Death Note is an anime about a kid that finds a book that a god of death drops intentionally cause he is bored and wants to see what fun can be had of it..Light Yagami finds the book, reads the rules (If a person's name is written in the death note, that person will die)...So Light starts to kill all the criminals of the world, His enemy is "L" a private investigator that has always solved the most hardest of cases..Japan wants to know why are criminals dying and "L" is chosen to figure it out. Misa is Light's girlfirend in the show and Kira's (the name given to Light by his admirers) number one fan and lover.
So yes..I am going as Misa..I will be taking pics and will post them when I get the chance..but the convention is 3 days long so I'm not sure when I'll be back on to get em up.. Sorry if this thread has bored anyone to death..but I just figured I would mention it for those who may know what I am referring to..Well talk to everyone later and hopefully I'll have some pics..heheh
As a side note....I can not polish my nails for the life of me...Tonight was my first time ever..and I look like I just killed someone...lol
