Obama's take on Kanye West...

I saw this video earlier on another site and thought I would post it here. I personally find it hilarious. For those who may not know, during the VMA's last Sunday as Taylor Swift was accepting the award for best song by a female artist, Kanye West interrupted her speech to say that Beyonce's song "Single Ladies" was better. It rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, including myself, and so when President Obama was scheduled to do an interview with NBC the following morning someone asked him his thoughts on the matter "off the record". His response, I thought was very funny and there's actually a video of the incident...

I may not agree with many of his decisions so far but it is kind of nice to see the human side of him. :spinner: I also happen to agree with him on Kanye.

I agree with both your points. It's good to see he's a 'real person'. Though he should have known better to fall for that 'off the record' stuff.

Ya, me too...He's always very clever with his jokes, and unlike most former presidents it's not always forced laughter. He has a very funny sense of humor and the word he chose fits Kanye to a "T". Kind of funny the camera was already rolling too, as it made for a great video. As long as it doesn't get blown up with the media I'll say it was a good thing to see and most people will probably thoroughly enjoy it!.

do you like fish sticks?
I knew this one was coming. I'll try and answer it swiftly; No, I am not a gay fish. Yes, I think Kanye West is slightly egotistical. No, I have no problem with gay fish, except if that if they are gay we will more than likely have less fish sticks. And yes, I like fish sticks!.

i like how in that episode he had a doctor point out he didn't have gills. therefore he wasn't a gay fish. but he never pointed out that he wasn't a gay human. and look at his haircut during the awards. anyone? i think kanye has be hiding it from us all along.

I have to disagree on that. Whether he could or could not be gay, his behavior has no association with homosexuality at all. IMO, he just has a lot of pressure of living up to the image he's created and he hasn't taken enough time to comprehend situations going on in his life. He's just letting his ego get the best of him right now, but I think this is a good thing for him to go through. No more ignoring it, and now he's going to have more time to think. Personally I love Kanye and I'm hoping he turns this around before he loses all his fame. This is the song that made him as a rapper, and hopefully he makes more music like this;

I'm not a big fan of rap, or Kanye...Though I kind of like his song "stronger"...though only because it samples Daft Punk, woot!

(Which, by jove, I think I've just realized where ceduke's avatar is from, I knew it was familiar somehow :laugh:)

You mean is, or is not, I assume. Hence, you lead me to presume you, Ricky, are an authority on homosexual behavior. Imagine, some one else "just letting his ego get the best of him right now, but I think this is a good thing for him to go through". It was interesting to see someone making an attempt to cash in on their own personal unfortunate incident instead of cashing in on someone elses for a change. I would hope he does not have to succumb to more injuries to make more music like this, however.

Yeah, That'd be fine if his ego didn't include humiliating others...not such a "good thing" for the people that have to deal with that BS. If you were a great fan of Swift, you might not be so generous with Kanye's egotistical outbursts.
I mean who's the victim here?
There's plenty of people with problems much worse than Kanye's that don't step all over strangers.
Obama was right he's a "Jackass" nuff said.
