Nope no picture yet... but I can bet money it's not what he says it is.. I told him I wanted proof of the value of the snake. I think he is looking for an easy bait..
 
For $400 he not only needs to supply a picture, but age, health, shedding, feeding and any other records including information about where he obtained the snake. He should expect any serious buyer at this price to ask for these. Otherwise it is a $40 snake. The fact that you are supposed to accept his price before getting answers to questions, and that further information depends on a making commitment to buy sight unseen is very suspicious.

When you are trying to sell something it takes work and giving information including pics to potential buyers is part of the process. If he's this lazy I'm suspicious of his care of the snake.
 
oh agreed... this kid doesn't know what he has.. he is looking for an easy mark.. I was hoping to get the pic out of him though cause Im nosey.

but I haven't heard anything so I am sure he's a bs:er.. or he got ripped off and is trying to get his money back..
 
You know what, I might have to buy it then ;) ROFLMAO I would love a polka dotted snake... (been looking at palmettos and drooling)
 
Oh God yes! and since I am just a pet person I can't justify that tag.. maybe in 10 years when everyone has them.. :)
 
Well...he really only wants $200 for the snake alone...so, you know...it's a deal! For a proven adult female I'd ask not that much less...I got close to that for my locality Okeetees.....but I'd still want photos......and for sure find out what she is. Anyone who gets a snake from me will have full feed/shed records as well as hatch dates if I have them and type and hets if any.
 
Oh I understand that... But I would like to know what she is since he says she's valued at 400.. he told me candy korn/caramel.. if she's a candy cane het caramel she's not valued 400.. THAT is why I am curious... 200 or so for a proven breeder I am fine with but it is the valued level I am curious about..
 
He wanted $400 if you bought the tank and heater etc. with the snake. Otherwise, he wanted $200 for just the snake....he didn't say he valued the snake at $400.....it was the snake and the set up for that...
 
No he did say, if you buy it from a breeder or a pet store... "She is worth over $400 if you try to buy her in a pet store or from a breeder." that is why I am nosey..
 
And yes I am well aware of that def are snakes out there with that value, thus I am curious which kid sells a valuable snake on CL which is mainly for less professional snake people... if you know what i mea..

If I was going to spend that kind of money on a snake I would buy from a breeder not some unknown Joe Blow from CL, and only after a bit of research. I don't care if its only $40.00 or $400.00 because you never know what you are getting, how it was raised, if it is healthy and you have no recourse if you buy it.

At least the breeders here you can check out their BOI, read their posts, message the heck of them :uhoh: and ask questions of others. Where on CL ... yeah good luck with anything after they take your money.
 
oh God i would never buy it.. i was just curious what kind of morph he had as you don't hear about 400 dollar snakes on CL that often. But he never sent a picture..
He told me it was a candy corn caramel..

Yup i know you wouldn't, just saying. I wouldn't hold your breath for that picture...

I still want to know what the heck a candy corn caramel looks like ... sounds like popcorn to me.
 
SOme stores though depending on the people working there.. I sell them with UTH..
but yeah... that is a good price on an albino ;)
