Happy Birthday to me, happy birthday to me...
Well here she is one of the pair I've been lusting over for what feels like a lifetime. She's a Bloodred Het P/S from Bayou Reptile. Sorry about the picture, I'm new to snake photography. I'd have a picture of her mate but he hates me. Thanks Rob! Did you train him to bite using a picture of me or what?:rofl: They are both beautiful and settling into their new home nicely. Most friends don't understand how excited I was to get them as a gift, but I knew you guys would get it. Thanks for looking.
Terri

Thanks. And no they don't have names yet. That might be something people could help me with. I'm terrible at picking names. Lots of my animals have names like "Ron's Ugly Normals Het for Everything"; yah I'm not kidding, that's how I refer to them. So please suggest fitting names for the pair. The female is fairly pleasant with some tail rattling but no striking. The male, smaller in size, has a bigger attitude. And as I said, he hates me. He bit me coming out of the container, again going into his new home and finally a good one when I changed his water today. He goes out of his way to nail me. The last time I ass-u-me-d I was safe because he had a full belly and he was way on the other side of his bin. He left his hide to get me! Hopefully he'll mellow with age. Suggest away...

Congrats on the great birthday pressies!

I look forward to you posting pics of the male, when he calms down a bit ;)

Best wishes,

"Ron's Ugly Normals Het for Everything";

HEY! She is very nice though! :rofl:And she makes pretty babies!:dancer:

That pic doesn't look so bad.Don't worry about there temper, they didn't get held much. After a little handling they will be puppy dog tame.
Were you happy with the size? lol.
Later Rob

Come on Rob, size doesn't matter! lol I hope Louise let you know how happy I was with them. They are perfect, nips and all. Hopefully I will be better at documenting their growth in photos than I have been with my own son. I fully understand why they were on the "Keeper Shelf." It was kind of you to allow me to put them on my "Keeper Shelf." In all the excitement, I forgot to ask what they were eating. I tried live newborn rat pups but they didn't seem interested. So I tried mouse crawlers which seemed to do the trick.
Thanks again,
Terri

Terri
Glad you liked them. They have been on mice mostly but have taken rats in the past. They probably just need to calm down a bit.
Thanks Rob

That is one heckuva nice Birthday present.:)

The female is beautiful (with a great het) and I imagine the male is too.

Happy Birthday and Congrats!

Resist Terri Resist. Pictures is one thing but now NAMES!!!!!!!!!! :eek:when will we start to see you post about whether something is "poopies or regurge", or questions on how to find the new normal that you just bought from petco that got out of its tank because the HS kid who sold it to you told u it didn't need a lid, or maybe questions on co-habb'n(we know every loves those), or you responding to the 5 pages of some1's ID request of their new reg a** looking normal that everyone is commenting on how beautiful it is???? :smash:
Who are you and what have you done with Terri!

Now I happen to like the name Ron's Ugly Normals Het for Everything and way we refer to our snakes.. whats wrong with:

"Robs Horny McBroken hemipene", "Reg. male opal from some chick online", "male according to you NOT neon pink and green snow", "Bill and Linda's "CORAL" snow", "The mean ass piss motley opal opal motley", "the bump", "Deans Beautiful sunglow motley that I didnt want in the 1st place that you told me I would love", "Deans big ass lav.", the jelly bean slug producing green snow het for lav.", "the fedex smells like death lav from FL"

I beg no you, no I implore you, resisit Terri resist.

Frank:
First off, I'm impressed that you, maybe, spell checked, or proof read your post before you hit the send key, BRAVO! lol :nyah: Secondly, just because it is not a white snake does not make it any less worthy of a photo post (all your white snakes are now officially banned from my island, so ha!) And C., you know tantrum rants such as these are not socially acceptable and are to be relegated to pms and private emails, shame on you. lol Lastly, posting photos and requesting help with names is a good thing, not a leap to the dark side. And any names you offer will be treated the same way I treat all your ideas...:rofl:
Thanks for your efforts at rescue,
Terri
PS- Opal Stripes, what Opal Stripes?

:laugh01::laugh01::laugh01::laugh01::laugh01:

You did it now Frank!

By the way, can you help me name my normal amel ugly as hell corn snake that everyone thinks is sooooo beautiful????:rofl:

Resist Terri Resist. Pictures is one thing but now NAMES!!!!!!!!!! :eek:

OH! :bang: It was *me* who started by asking about names!!! I like naming all of my pets, reptiles & felines alike, and as the snakes are a birthday present, shouldn't they have special significance by having special names? *hmpf* See if I buy another snake from you...:angry01:

(Kidding, kidding, kidding...:nyah: All y'all with the dozens upon dozens of snakes, I don't know how you keep the names straight...! I can barely call my 24 students by their own proper name -- each one gets 3 different names thrown at them before I get the name right...:p )

Lastly, posting photos and requesting help with names is a good thing, not a leap to the dark side.

True that! :cheers: So, onto name suggestions...tell me some subject or theme that you like best in this world, and I'll give you names. Generally all of my pets have names that are adjectives (to describe the animal) from foreign languages, i.e., the snow stripe that I bought from Frank is named "Schnee" (German for "snow"). Now I wonder how such a beautiful creature came from his care...:rofl:

Although, with the red snakes, I think of fire or pepper or spices or passion...so, any language that you like? :) Maybe Spanish, "Fuego" y "Caliente" (fire & hot)? Especially for that picante (spicy) male that you have! :)
