I drew a picture of my snake...with her upper body as a human, trying to personify her in an extreme way. Same attitude...modest and discrete. Loves to hide

That is awesome, and you have some real talent with your style. Your avatar is probably the coolest one I've seen, and if you haven't already thought of it, you should try doing shirts, stickers, or magnets with your designs.
I have a couple of portraits of my dog, I'll try to dig them up later if you're intersted.

Cool. Tablets are fun, but hard to draw on sometimes. I like to do tablet stuff and mouse stuff I like your profile picture haya.

Here is a drawing of my German Shepherd, her name is Ciana. It's a photo of the drawing, so it's a bit blurry, and the color in real life is white, but the camera gives it a yellowish appearance!

Next is a photo of one of my paintings, again of Ciana, and the color is more accurate to the actual painting in this one than the drawing.

I'll join the fun and throw up something of my own (well, not throw up, but you know). I only have 1 drawing of an actual pet (dog) which I can't find now, so this will have to do, eh.

well, I do keep doing them now and again when I have an idea and all my other projects are caught up on. I post them here but there is such a turnover in comments they don't stay on the page very long.

I have another one that's kind of strange that I just did. My alter ego is a Sphinx and the Greek Sphinx was sometimes described to have a snake for a tail. So I put my snake as my character's tail Kind of strange, but relevant to the thread!

hey-its been a while since i have posted...but i thought i'd love to start up with this topic! i more recently started pet portraits (still learning lol) as i usually do people and landscapes..
the first one is based on my cat, 2nd is my betta fish, 3rd is my creamsicle corn when she was under a year, 4th is an unfinished pic of my rootbeer and the last is a rock i painted to honour my rootbeer corn lol
