Pied Progression - '15 Version

Jessicat

All Pied Everything
Hey guys, don't think I've "officially" introduced my little miracle pied guy from Walter Smith on the forum yet.

This little dude has QUITE the back story. Let's just say "FedEx priority overnight delivery" isn't quite what it used to be. This guy was stuck in transit for almost A WEEK (just a day shy I believe) due to unforeseeable weather conditions. Walter of course was EXTREMELY helpful the whole time and gave me the best customer service anyone could ask for. He stayed in communication the whole time, refunded my shipping, and also was willing to let me choose another snake. We were both pretty convinced I'd be picking up a coffin.

NOT SO!!! To my extreme happiness, shock, and surprise, when I finally was able to lay eyes on my little guy he sure was fiesty, but ALIVE!! I've never been so happy to be bitten and musked on.

Anyway, I've had this guy long enough that 's not only out of the danger zone but thriving!

Here he is, Locke, my little '15 Pied Male (Het Anery, 50% Hypo Lav) **This first picture is Walter's.

Probably the only picture I took of him when he first arrived (in blue).

First shed with me

One or two sheds later

cont..

Right after his most current shed, some time last week.

I'm SUPER excited after this past shed, because it looks like some of his pied is creeping up into his dorsal pattern! :dancer:

Those eyes!!

A few "full body" shots, which are still kind of hard to get given that he's still a small squirmy thing.

He is named Locke, after the famous Philosopher (John Locke) known for his theory of the mind and enlightenment and yes, also after the Lostie named after the philosopher who regains his ability to walk after crashing on the mysterious island. This little guy literally blows my mind and reminds me to stay positive, because anything can happen. ;) :wavey:

Wow, what a trip that must have been for him. He's a really gorgeous specimen so I'm so glad he survived the ordeal. Did FedEx refund Walter too?

That's an amazing survival story. I'm so glad he made it. He's a truly beautiful pied. You and Walter should be very, very proud of him. Love the Lost reference in the name, too. I hope the rest his life is much less eventful!

Unfortunately I have no idea but I sure would HOPE so! Walter's customer service was/is so amazing that even if they didn't, he wouldn't have made me feel bad about it. For a few days there they couldn't even give us an ETA on when he would arrive! Thankfully once he did arrive at the closest FedEx shipping location they called me immediately.

That's how I feel as well! Would have been quite a shame to lose him for several reasons! I'm so happy with how he's turning out so far every time he sheds he gets a little more awesome! At first I wasn't sure what to name him, but I love Locke's character and thought given the situation that it was actually pretty fitting!

Wanted to throw this pic up. Locke isn't fresh shed or anything, but I got another picture of his pied creeping into the dorsal pattern. This guy gets better every time I look at him!

Having a lot of fun watching him grow, and he was just bumped up to larger fuzzies/small hoppers! :eatsmiley:licklips:
