Introducing Pebbles!
Hatch Date: April 21st, 2009

:crazy02: INSTANT LOVE :crazy02:

Pebbles is an Abbotts Okeetee, from Lee Abbott. She arrived beautifully packaged today: June 23, 2009. She weighs in at 10 grams, but I didn't get a length yet.

I held her briefly to check her movement and muscle tone, which was great. She has a very curious tongue too! She's an active little gal and seems very sweet, really not nervous to be held by me. I gave her a drink and then put her in her new viv. She went right to the hide that my son made for her out of sculpy clay (as per a suggestion we read her on the DIY thread). I'll miss her while she's relaxing and getting to know her new home.

I'll let you guys tell me how Absolutely Gorgeous she is...

That's one of Lee's babies, all right! You are going to die when you see how gorgeous she gets!!!

REALLY Kewl!!! Congrats! She's cute now, but, like Nanci said, we're all just waiting for her "oolala" colors to come in.

She is beautiful!!! I am sooo jealous. As I have mentioned before I want our next snake to be an Abbott's Okeetee. I am looking forward to seeing how she progresses.

She's going to be stunning not that shes not uber cute now, but just wait okeetees just keep getting prettier!!

Very nice little snake you have there! I can't wait to see the progression pics. I'm sure my oke is one of her cousins or some such! Who were the parents, do you know?

Jen, the card said "sire: F-1, dame: D" any relation? I haven't been able to find the parent snakes on Lee's website, but I thought he had that somewhere... do you have a link?

So, when she arrived this morning, my 2 older boys were at camp and just the 2.5 yr old as here to see the snake (he was sooo good about sitting quietly! I should get a snake everyday! lol!). The others were a little bummed that she was in hiding when they got home, yet to their credit, very respectful of the rules.
WELL, they went for a quick peek just before bed and guess who was out exploring?! I think she sensed their movement and went back into hiding, but we were all so happy that they got a chance to get a glimpse of her!

She's back out exploring now! I'd sit there and stare for hours, but I want to keep the lights out and give her some space. What a day, tho.

First of all, congrats on picking one of the most beautiful, exciting morphs from the man himself, Lee! I bought a male last year from him and have had so much fun watching him change with each shed.

Here's the father of your girl:

And here's her mom:

Mine has the same mom as yours, but a different father. Just remember to take pictures after EVERY shed!!!

Alan, I know! I can't believe I finally have a snake! Now I have a good excuse to be trolling around this forum all night and day! LOL.
(seriously, tho - I have a problem)

Eddie, THANK YOU so much!
Wow, it's fun to see Mom and Dad! I knew I saw a link somewhere. Awesome. Awesome.
Gosh, they are so pretty. I really am looking forward to the sheds! Yippee!

(Yeah, I this is a pet "for my son" - LOL!)

Lol, for your son, yeah right!

Our snakes have the same baby daddy! Mine's parents were F-1 male & N female. I suppose that makes them step siblings?

You've gotta love Lee's Okeetees. We got our little Marley from him last year. Her colors are really starting to shine now. It is truly amazing after each shed. Congrat! I think you will be happy with her.
