Preisdential Debate

If you are prosecuted with intent to sell, and having fields of marijuana you can get a while in prison, where as someone convicted of assaualt or murder could get out befor you on parol...

It HAS BEEN STATED BY MCCAIN THAT HE IS PRO WAR, do you people not look at anything?!?!?!?!?

I guess the bible and religion is to touch of a subject for most of the people on this site, I honeslty should have never posted on this website because most of the people here refuse to believe that they are wrong even after I said I was wrong... Never did I even state either that I though muslims were EVIL or WRONG or any such thing, it is a common belief that the anti christ is an unknown person who whould come from the east... Im done posting in this thread beacuse so many people want to try and troll on me and what not...

I hope If I ever decide to breed snakes/geckos people dont go oh dont talk to that guy, he had a few wrong facts in a presidential debate, and we posted in a thread about a debate but didnt post anything about debating just bashing him.

-Daniel

Find me a McCain quote where he says, "I am pro war". Good luck with that, because it's never been said. He has said he is not going to prematurely pull out of Iraq, which is the right decision. You do not set a timetable for withdrawl---it simply gives the opposition a time frame to hold out until. Of course Obama doesn't understand this because he's never been in a war....

Nobody is trolling you. If thats what you think good luck on this website because you have some super thin skin. You posted things that were not true and got called out on them. If you can't handle that then that's too bad.

When you said you were not going to vote your debate on the vote became pointless, simple.
We have no idea how good your reptile breeding or keeping skills are, simple.
Not against you as a person, just as a voter.

I usually don't get into politics, but thank you for not voting Daniel.

I'm with you, but

im still not voting.

If you don't vote why bother to respond to this thread, if you don't vote the beliefs, religion, past religion... of any of the candidates should not concern you. You only have a voice and a say in the politics of this government if you are able to vote and do. Otherwises shhhhh.

Hey when did you join my Religion??

It's a common belief? Among whom? How many of the 6 billion people on this planet "believe" in this BS?

Probably the same people who believe the world will end in 2012 because the Mayan calendars says so...

Probably the same people who believe the world will end in 2012 because the Mayan calendars says so...

I'm sorry, but I don't believe in that "BS".
I'm really offended now, being a follower of the Mayan religion and their beliefs. Do you really think we are some kind of psychos messed up in the head? And you do know you are calling one of the greatest ancient civilizations in the world crazy. Maybe you should do some research on the actual calendar, too. Because it never says the world will end. Just like the other guy, do some research before speaking up.
And you also offended other people on this site by saying Atheist are evil.

These kind of comments you should keep to yourself... they're not needed here.

I never said Atheists are evil, if I did so, I would like to see the link. Second of all, I said people think the Mayan calendar says the world will end. Never said I believed that, did I? I actually have great respect the Mayan civilization, and they are actually many Mayan researchers who say that the calendar does not say the world will end. My point was probably vague, but it was supposed to point out that many people believe ill-informed things, sorry it didn't get through and upset you.

I know I didn't say Atheists were evil, so maybe you are confusing me with someone else, but I will re-read my own posts, because there may have been something I didn't clarify. But if you do have a link let me know.

Where are you finding your facts? I've read Obama's books and no where does he state he was Muslim (not that it matters, because I don't believe all Muslims are evil). Atheist yes, but Muslim, no. My problem is that you didn't misrepresent McCain (to my knowledge), but you provided erroneous facts about Obama.

You have the choice not to vote, but if you chose to do so, you should do so with the correct information. I am voting for Obama because I don't like the McCain's stance on certain issues. Personally, I wish Gore were running, but I do like Obama as a second choice. Environmental issues are one of my major concerns (along with reproductive rights and health care).

I am not, nor have I ever been, mad at you, I just wanted to clarify your "facts".

I meant Obama was an Atheist at one point, not evil, or muslim. Just to clarify a grammar point, things in parentheses are to clarify a point within a sentence. New sentences can be used to clarify the previous sentence, but my fault for not reading it better and fixing it before posting. I'm not Christian, and personally believe (as I've said) everyone has the right to their own opinion (even in what they chose to believe).

Uh, just why is voting party lines a horribly blind way to go? It actually makes perfect sense.
For me it doesn't make sense. I am aligned with a particular party because the majority of my beliefs is reflected in their beliefs as well, but there are particular points of which I disagree with my party, which is why I think that voting straight ticket is a bad way to go. Obviously if you are more extreme to one side or another, voting straight ticket is probably the same as voting for your particular issues. I meant to clarify that I won't vote straight party line because it isn't a good idea for me. Obviously everyone's individual beliefs dictates their voting habits.

Disclaimer: I don't like political debates because they generally turn ugly which is why my contribution will only be the above link. I know who I want to vote for and that is my business that I can choose or choose not to share, as can everyone else.

I'm gonna throw my opinion in there too - don't blame VA for it either!

Well this thread went well. As soon as the subject of politics comes up anywhere, people tend to get offended by the silliest things.

I am interested in your ideas and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

Political debates can be civil if the participants choose to be, although it also requires respect for the opposing side, which is something in short supply these days. At any rate, you guys have it easy. There are so many political parties in Canada that it's amazing anyone ever has a majority.

Considering my point of view is not only someone who can't vote, but it's from someone who doesn't even live in your nation, Obama becoming the president would be the best thing for American international relations. Nobody outside of the US likes Bush and many see McCain as just more of the same. I know I do. Of course, that only matters to Americans who care what the world thinks of them. :)

Ultimately, putting your own nation ahead of others is the best way to build your nation up. However, the current administration has shown a very strong lack of respect to the international community - which is something that will bite you guys in the ass one day.

Either way, I hope that the future policies of the US government will work towards stabilization rather than agitation.
