Hey everyone i had a big problem it has been 4 days since i have fed my little baby girl then i fed her tonight about 10 minutes ago and i put her in plastic container with holes in it like i do everytime, and i placed the pinkie in it with three slits cut in its back. And i left her alone then i looked at her and she had the pinkie in her mouth then i left her alone again, then i went back to check on her and the pinkie was thrown back up with brown stuff all over!
what should i do!? is she going to be alright?? im not going to feed her again tonight im going to wait for a couple of days, is that the right thing to do? Right now she is back in her viv in one of her hides moving kind of slowly around. some please help! thank you

Read this and it should help you follow the steps very carefully and try to order some Nutri-bac to help your snake's digestive acids settle. Also make sure to wait at least 10 days before attempting another feed.

Well I don't know if thats a true regurge. But the brown stuff sounds odd. :shrugs: Do you thing the brown stuff could of came from the pinky?????
Well...... as sugested by Maize do the Regurgitation Treatment.

After that, I would push the feeding day up to five day or six.

I am just guessing from what you wrote. But it sounds like you left her for only a short time. Sounds like it was not long enough to be a true regurge - maybe she either didn't completely swallow it at all, or swallowed and immediately spit it up. A "spit up" doesn't seem as bad as a real regurge, since the digestive juices didn't have time to start working, and the digestive tract is not as unbalanced by the whole thing. And I am guessing that the brown stuff MIGHT have been snake poop?

All of this is just guessing, since I wasn't there to see it, and I don't know the exact time frame. Does this sound possible or probable?

If this sounds likely, then just give her a rest for several days (maybe 5 days or so) and give her a tiny, newborn pink next time, since you don't know FOR SURE what happened.

I am wondering if the snake just pooped on it?? because normally a spit up doesnt bring anything with it. so without pics.... we are all guessing. If it was me that found something like that?? I would try to feed again on the next scheduled day and very small pinkie. (side note: just make sure the pink is really warm was given to the snake-about 100*)

Well the brown stuff was all over the pinkie and it was like a clear slimey brown substance i dnot think it was poop and she had it in her mouth and then 5 minutes later it was out so i think it was a spit up as well, i did put three slits in it so maby the slimey substance was from the pinkie i looked like it could have been. It just took be by suprise so i just on here to see if she was okay, and this morning i woke up and it was still dark and she was out and about slithering around her viv so it seems that she is alright. Thank you everyone for all your help.

I wonder if the pinky just blew up. I've got a couple snakes that won't touch a mouse if there are any guts out. If you don't have any tiny pinks for next time, you can always cut one in half.
