Progression thread of my LBR Top Shelf Miami babies; Maia & Mingan

MysticExotics

(formerly NWHeather)
Maia & Mingan were delivered this morning & I am very happy with these babies! Pictures do not do them justice.
Part of me wants to keep them little, but I cannot wait to see how they turn out, as they grow up.

I know Carol doesn't keep individual hatchdates, but I'm guessing the babies are about a month old, since their first meal was July 1st.

Here's the link to their parents, & siblings http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=97981&highlight=aztec

Here are Maia, my perfect little girl, & Mingan, my gorgeous little boy.
I know, I posted these pics in another thread....but c'mon, they are gorgeous babies, you hafta admit. ;)

They are gorgeous! I can't wait to see these babies progress :D

And sorry if this is a dumb question, but what does "top shelf" mean?

Anyways, congrats on the new babies!

Oooo.... I can't WAIT to see them all grown up! They're amazing already :).

I'm hoping for one of the "okeetee" bordered miamis from Carol next year. She didn't have any this year, so I decided to wait. Her Miamis just blow me away!

Congratulations, Heather. I am officially jealous :).

What gorgeous babies! The trouble with Carol's Miamis is there are so many cool types,
you have to keep adding to the collection! Now you need some motleys, and some pinstripes,
and some with the thick black borders, and some with cool hets...And since they are all SO affordable,
even the very best of the best- soon you have lots and lots!

Thanks :)
Not a dumb question-how I perceive top shelf, is the best ofthe best, basically. Carol's "average" Miami's are anything but average, as it is, but the top shelf Miami's are the top quality ones she produces.

Thanks Irish! :) I'm really looking forward to seeing how they turn out too!
Carol has fabulous snakes. It was so tempting to add more to my order. LOL

I know! I think I'm going to need to start an LBR savings account...

Are you going to register the babies? You can look up the parents' pedigrees on ACR.
Maybe I will do that and see if I have any relatives!!

I see Katie owns two of their half-aunts- Legacy and Weirdo. On the mother's side.

And El Wray is their half-uncle on the father's side!!

And Zora is a different half-uncle's (El Wray's brother's) daughter.

Thanks :)
These will definitely not be my last from Carol..hence the need for an LBR (as well as Walter's CC's) savings account..

I have been keeping mydistance on the babies, but I still check in on them a couple times a day, when I check in on my others.
I am restraining from handling them, but I *had* to take this pic. It was so cute! I pick up various things at 2nd hand stores, when I come across them, with my creatures in mind. I found this little pot & knew it would be great for a baby. I tried it with one of my other hatchlings, but they didn't really care for it, one way or another.
It's been sitting on my shelf since, & I decided to put it in with one of the LBR babies (Maia), just to see. I found Maia curled up in it & had to take a picture. :)

Thanks...4 more LBR babies will be joining my home this week, so I'll have more progression threads :)

(I won the auction on the 1.1 Granite babies, & then since I was getting a good deal already, & shipping wouldn't be much more, I added two of the siblings to these babies.) :)

I'm very excited!!

Maia shed yesterday, & I somehow zapped the pics I took before feeding, so I had to retake pics of her in the bin, after feeding. Mingan was opaque about the same time Maia was, so he should shed any day now :)
Here's Maia today
(She's not *quite* that red, but my camera is goofy)...she does look awesome though!
