Progression Thread: Ultramel Bloodred

Jay@PJCReptiles

"Quality Before Quantity"
Hi Everyone,
This snake was produced by Stephen Wagner from what he calls his "cherry line". We just got this girl a few weeks ago and she has just had a new shed. I can see why Stephen is calling them "cherries". They have a nice red wash all over. I have a pair of Bloodreds from this same line and they exhibit this same red wash coloration. Even the other red colors have a red wash, if that is understandable, that gives them a pretty unique look. I thought she deserves her own progression thread so I can document the changes as she grows. She doesn't have a name yet so any input would be welcome. Here is "Name Coming Soon". Thanks for looking and I hope you like.

her color is amazing...hope to see her in person some time..
BIG CONGRATS TO YOU DUDE!!
here are some names.......
HENNA, because she looks like the natural redish color of henna tattoos.
MARROW, in the bone marrow is where "RED" blood cells are produced.
you could also call her the "IRON MAIDEN"..
because IRON OXIDE (Fe2O3) is ared color, and Iron maiden is a great band...and ummm.
MERCURY the red planet...just tryin to keep it origional in my 2 cents;)

pssst..I have also stated to another member that JUPITER is a good name..because of the oranges and reds..
(just goin crazy with names here don't mind me..lol)

Very pretty lady you have there Jay. I'll look forward to seeing her progression.

How about naming her "Cheri"?

Wow!! Another progression thread from you I have to subscribe to now. She looks amazing!! (Maybe in a few years I should send my butter blood your way for some golddust bloods! ;))

You should call her Golden Eye!

I plan to breed my granite to my ultramel motley, so I might one day produce such an awesome snake myself!

Update: Fresh Shed

Hi Everyone,
Just posting an update of this girl. Nice fresh shed to go with her new name. We have decided to name her "Stephanie". Thanks for looking and I hope you like.

Why is there no edit function?

if im not mistaken, you have to be a contributing member to edit posts.
Exactly. You need to have one of those shiny coins under your name. You get the shiny coin by being a contributing member. When you become a contributing member, and get your shiny coin, then it will unlock the "edit" function for you.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled program.

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I suggest to anyone that there are a few breeders out there that produce the "must have" snakes for their collection and Stephen Wagner is one of them. Thanks Man!

Jay, I may sound like a poo pooer on this thread but I just dont see the attraction since its a blood red, there is no diffusion. I guess thats the main reason why I love Blood reds. Now if this critter had diffusion now that would really rock.

Well!

I got a great idea ! since Jim loves her so much please change her name to Jim!:grin01:
I think she is probably het carmel alot of them came out with yellow over wash which is very common with the carmel gene!

Ok, OK. I take it you really don't like the name. Done deal Stephen. Her name now is officially "Jaime". That better? :grin01:
