Hello all :)

I just bought my lil cutie yesterday, shes a gorgeous lil snow corn called skittle :) She seems to be settling in quite well, saw her out having a good look around her new home when i got back from work today. Will post pics later, i cant find my camera lead :shrugs:

Its crazy how quick i have actually grown to love her so much, i just wanted to get home today to check on her :)

she is pretty. wow. excellent choice. Welcome. I have been a snake owner for about a month. this site will answer most of your questions if not all of them. We love pics. check out the beautifull snakes in the photo gallery.

I agree with what Nanci said. I thought I loved mine the first day I got her. 2months later when I look back I see it was just a very strong feeling of like. now im in love with her

What a little pink cutie-pie! Welcome to your new addiction! Oh, and welcome to the forum, too!

Welcome to the forums! I agree with others that say you think you love her now but just wait! I've had my first snake, also a snow, for 14 months now and love her more and more each time I handle her. Oh and don't take lightly that corns are addicting! Because they totally are!!! :)

"Lil Cutie" is right! Welcome to you both. I hope you learn a lot and share a lot and enjoy this forum and the people in it. :)

I woke up this morning to find she has shed :) was in two parts though is this normal? One half was the head complete with little eye caps and about half of her body, and the other was the rest of her body right down to the tail tip :) I did have a quick hold of her and checked for any stuck patches but couldnt see any:)

Congrats on your snake and welcome to the forums.

My baby shed for the first time about a month ago. I was so proud of it that I kept it. LOL. I'm such a mama to him.. rolls eyes.

A shed that is not one complete piece is a sign that you don't have enough humidity during the shedding process, next time she goes into shed you can mist her and her viv every once in a while or you could add a humid hide and just let her moisten herself up. A humid hide is just a hide with some damp moss in it. Doing either of these will help the shedding process go more smoothly. Congrats though! :)

Congrats on the shed. Don't worry about the 2 piece shed too much. One of my new babies just had her first shed with us and it was in two parts. Even though she has a water bowl, a very damp shed bowl filled with a sphagnum moss/vermiculite mix, AND I water misted daily then covered the Viv loosely with plastic wrap. Can't get too much more shed friendly than that! Yet she still shed a two parter.

You're right though, a full 2 pieces isn't that big of a deal. It's really only a problem when you have more small pieces and some pieces still left on the snake :uhoh:, that's when humidity is an issue. Just thought i'd give you the tips though so you know what to do if you need to :)
