Quick Question..

Pet Corn Snake

New member
Well its about time for me to clean Damien's Viv and this week I could not get hold of new substrate, the lady at the petstore is out, my local petstore does not sell it anymore and the other petstore is about 35Min's away, so until about Wednesday I'm going to have to use something different, hes always been on beach chippings although next time I'm hoping to get him on aspen.. anyways any suggestions what i can use for the next few days that will be better then his current substrate?

Unless his substrate is absolutely, disgustingly fouled, you can spot-clean now and change it out completely when you get new stuff in a few days.

Yea I'll spot clean tonight and then fully clean it out when i get the substrate, and Nanci its probably because ever since Ive had him Ive always made sure everything was clean and everything was well so its kind of a thing Ive got used to, but I'm sure it wont bother him to wait a few days : )

You could shred up some news paper or paper towels to throw in there if the cage looks a bit bare after you spot clean it. Shredded newspaper gives some volume to the substrate, and in the times I have used it my corns seem to feel pretty comfortable laying under/ in it.
