Raw Feeders (Dogs)

I know plenty of people who feed both...including me! I hope your dog loves the deer organs.....

I got a chest freezer yesterday, just in time for a shipment of green tripe, lamb hearts and lamb liver.

I'm going to need a bigger freezer....mine is slap full of deer sausage and rats and mice...and I've got a delivery from rodent pro coming any time now!! Argggh!!

Same here! We really need to buy a large chest freezer for the garage ... Not sure what I'm going to be doing with my Rodent Pro order coming today ...
If we had more freezer space, I'd like to try raw for the dogs.

New freezer partially stocked!

Optimum temp is -18F. I'm still fine-tuning it. EDIT: Optimum temp is ZERO F!! So I've turned it up some. Oops.

I don't know yet. I'm using grinds just to make it easier on vacation. I think I'll make half pound patties and freeze. Except the pancreas, that only comes in a grind, and that is the item that if you purchase it, they make a charitable donation, for this month.

It's going really well!! Stocked up freezer.

So- I'm only feeding kibble on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings. They are eating beef, lamb, pork, chicken and rabbit, and will soon be introduced to duck. They have two days a week where they fast in the morning, and then have a whole animal in the evening- a chicken or rabbit. They haven't have feathers or fur yet.

Quite the setup...I have NO room in my freezer.....rats, mice, fish (for the watersnake) and deer meat sausage! Got another 40 lbs of deer ground meat...where the hell am I going to put that???

Well, Walmart had this same freezer in the 5.5 cu ft model for SUPER cheap a couple weeks ago. So I bought one for my Rich for Christmas!!

I need a bigger one too.....if I knew we'd have this much deer meat.....I wanted to take advantage of the sale that rodent pro was having too....I would have ordered more small rats for the cats but I had nowhere to put them! I had just gotten in an order from them for Black Friday...

Our raw feeding vacation is going well! Now that Rich has a freezer, there's room for everything.
