Reason #587 why Worm is so great.

To further help give Texas Ratsnakes a good name, here's a little tale about Worm's eating habits.

Whenever my snakes are done with their meals, if I'm not looking, they will high-tail it right out of there. Pumpkin, the corn, gets tail-rattley and tries to make an escape. Pickle, the BP, stays calm, but definitely has a wandering eye.

But Worm?... Worm just sits there like this:

Yup. Every... single... time.

Just sits there, flicking his tongue, watching me, waiting to be picked up. When I go up to him, he lets me pick him up without any complaint. It's adorable.

"Hey mum, can I go home now??"

"Unless... unless you feel like given me another mouse!"

He is a beautiful, Jennrose! He's also getting BIG considering how small he was when you first got him (I remember!). What a handsome gentleman you've got there!

Absolutely beautiful!

Its so good to hear nice things about texas rats! Worm is such a sweetie! Mine only gets angry now after I feed him. But thats all! The first picture is awesomeness!

He'll occasionally throw a tantrum when I try to take him out of his cage... but it's rather funny. He'll pull a defensive pose, but then I'll just reach in and pet his head. He instantly calms down and will rest his head on my hand and just chill out. It's all an act.

I <3 Worm! He is so beautiful! He looks wistful in the first pic- I wonder what he is thinking. "I wish I could do this every day!"

The reminds me of the one guy over at FC whose Retic sits with his head on the cage ledge while the guy works in his herp room. If the snake had hands, they'd be crossed firmly under his chin in a relaxed "ho hum" pose.

Awesome Texas Rat. I just ordered one from SMR. Is that where you got Worm from?

Nope. I actually got him on a random kingsnake.com ad from someone in Kentucky. They were advertising a super docile, texas ratsnake hatchling... hehehe. And after I made them crazy asking a hundered questions, Worm came home to live with me!

Could you help him write book on how to be chill? I know lots of owners who would love to read it to their snakes!
