Rescued- injured corn

every day i open up this thread and wince, but I am glad another day has passed and the little one seems to be getting better..
shes fallen straight into the right hands =)

all the best,
Ali

Well, I got back home today and...
she managed to shed! perfect shed at that... and I was also quite pleased to see that she left me a small pile of poo to go with it- I was quite concerned that he Cloacae and intestines were destroyed but... Golly, she even tried to tag me.
Let us hope she will continue with this fiesty attitude and focus it to survival.

I guess that at some instances, pictures are better than words:

For the time being, I decided to call her Grace... it seems fitting.
Hopefully she will keep the meal down and all will continue to go well.
The injured part is very visible- from that crook and all the way down, she is completely paralyzed save for the very tip of the tail.

Oren.

"Coke bottle cap?" Holy smokes!! I don't think I've EVER seen a corn that tiny! How much does she weigh?

I'm so glad that she seems to be doing well for you... and Grace is a great name. :)

God knows, I don't have a scale... something which I need to correct, I know, I know...
But one step at a time... everything here costs more than it does abroad sadly... lots of things are imported rather than manufactured here naturally.

aww, good for her! glad to see her continue to get better.
keeping my fingers crossed for her keeping it down!

all the best,
Ali

GO girl! :dancer::dancer::dancer:
What a lovely sight!
Make sure you tell grace there are healing thoughts from across the oceans for her!

She seems to have a strong will! Good thing for one so tiny!

Congrats on getting her to eat...Positive energy coming your way for more success with her.

Keep us updated. Love to see an animal with so much gumption! Go little Amazing Grace!

The odds were against her but... it seems as though she had decided to embrace life for all their worth...
She managed to pass the meal down and poop- she has a chance.
I hope she will continue to grow... It really brightens the day when you see a little success story like this
