Hey guys, I have been part of this forum for a few weeks now and I thought it was time to share some pictures of my setup and of sable my young corn.

As you can see from the couple of poor quality pictures that Sable is a Anery. She was born early August.

She eats really well and have been following the Munson Plan.

For heating I have a UTH and use a herpstat for monitoring the temp (the pic shows my temp at 90 because I bumped it when i took Sable out and it heated up before I placed it back on the glass) which I keep at 85. The cold side of the tank ranges from low 74-78 (depending on the apartment furnace).

For bedding I am using aspen chip.

She has a few different hides and really enjoys the cave, the log and sometimes the plant:)

If you have any advice to change up my setup, id really appreciate it. Thanks for looking :)

90 degrees is too hot. Lower your temps so that the warmest area is about 82-85 degrees.

Also, this is not necessary, but some snakes love to climb. It would be really cool if you could find some awesome wood pieces or vines and get some fake leaves. You can even make your own hammock in there! That would be a great way to utilize all that empty space in your viv.

I'm not being mean but read his whole first post, he mentions why it's at 90...

I like the ideas though, i'm gonna add a hammock in mine too, do you know if they have cage accessories at reptile expos? i would think they do... i'm going to one this weekend, which is why i ask
 
So you've had a nice demonstration of what happens when your thermostat probe moves away from the UTH! You can hold it down with hot glue, sticky tack (that gum-like stuff for posters) or foil tape. Your viv looks good, but you could add some height by putting in a reptile hammock in one corner and making a climbing vine- take one of those bare bendy vines and wrap a six foot scrunchy leafy vine around it, then bend the whole thing into a serpentine shape, and fold it around the sides and back of the viv. It makes a lot of cover for her to hide in, yet is easy to remove and replace if you have to.
 
love the tank...sable is beautiful ^_^

i just bought a tank about the same size...how did you make the lid?? it looks like it would work perfectly with the top of my new tank.

It was hand crafted by the owner of the petshop that I got my snake from:)

damn...i'm trying to figure out a nice lid solution for my new 29 gallon tank.

do you think you can post some pic of the lid so i have figure out how it was made?? please and thanks you >w<

awesome! ty...i've been looking online for DIY lids for my tank and your is the nicest one i've seen. plus it would work perfectly on my tank coz it has that little lip around the edge
