Sani Chips?

Once my shopping cart system for my supply business is complete, I will have Sani-Chips for sale (among other Harlan products). I am unsure on shipping weight/price as of yet, but I'm selling 2.2 cu ft bags of Sani-Chips & 4.38 cu ft of Shredded Aspen for $10.

Most feed stores will special order stuff for customers, especially if they can get it through suppliers they already deal with. If you haven't already asked, I would check with any that are in driving distance and see which might be willing to help. Same might be true of the local pet shops, but they may charge more, or not already work with that supplier.

The first few times you special order, they may require partial or full payment up front so they don't get stuck with it if you don't come through. But after a while, they should be able to waive that requirement.

The problem with Harlan products is that they don't market to retailers, have no interest in retail business, and aren't available through normal distributoin sources. The one store I found that sells Harlan products ordered in large quantities directly from Harlan , and only because they supplied a University lab. Feeder breeders that sell Harlan products order large quantities and pick it up themselves from the Harlan distribution centers.
You'd probably have better luck special ordering Nepco Aspen Chips from a feed store if special ordering is necessary.

I used to get it at my local petstore, but they weren't huge bags as I recall. I switched to the aspen soon after and buy the huge bags of that.

I bought a large bag from Paul Mitchell ( http://www.pmherps.com/ ) at the New Hampshire show a few years ago. He goes to the White Plains show but I do not know if he still brings the bags to sell. I think I paid $15 and seem to remember that there was more than one vendor selling the Harlan Sani Chips and Aspen at the show.
