Hey there.

Good morning from South Africa lol. I got this little guy about 6 weeks ago. He is an awesome little dude. He was very afraid at first but now i just have to stick my hand into his tank and he will get on and slither around (after biting me the first time i did it lol). He seems to love a chin scratch :poke:. he actually falls asleep every time i do it lol

He is a lot bigger than this by now. ill post some new pics when I can again ;)

He is an amel het caramel stripe (mother striped amel and father striped butter)
 
lol yeah it is his name :)

He was about 2 months old there I think. He is now almost 8 months old. Way bigger than here and even better colors. Have to say I do love his big red eyes. Makes him look all evilly lol :devil01:

beautifull animal! I have a 9 month old and though he is tame he will not willingly climb onto me and there is no way he would accept me scratchin his chin. So good for you. you got a good one.
 
Here is some updated photo's of the little guy as requested...

This one was just after the infamous chin scratch lol. He usually hangs like this just above my one hand and then i rub him under his chin while he stays like this.

What an awesome little guy! I have an amel motley het caramel stripe, gotta love the caramel's yellowing influence. I named her Jewel though. So, what does his name mean?
 
Im kinda into mythologies etc also. The actual Kraken that was made by Hades. The first Kraken that is was named Cetus. Theres also a star compilation named that. Thanks all :)
 
:cheers: What a gorgeous little baby ya have there. His coloring is exquisite. My Slither is really calm & loveable as well. She just loves to rest her chin on my thumb. Although I've never tried chin rubs, I do rub her side, belly, & tail...she seems to enjoy it. :eek: I also rock her sometimes & she just love to lay there resting on my arms. Silly little buggers, aren't they.
:rolleyes: That's why it always cracks me up when people don't think that all animals have different personalities. Obviously those people have never taken the time to get to know animals.

This is my first snake. I was very lucky with the little guy I got. I know a few people that has extremely grumpy ones or very shy ones. Mine seems to love attention. Was not so at first though. He was very skittish when i got him. But I kept doing my normal calm handling and he started warming up after a few times. Now he is like a cat lol. He just loves getting rubs. Last night he fell asleep on my chest while I was watching dvd's lol. Awesome little bugger :D

:D I know what ya mean about getting lucky. I just slide my hand under her & then proceed to pick her up. I got Slither when she was a bit more than 1 year (off craigslist) & she is so laid back & sweet. From the moment we met, we hit it off...:eek: despite my shaking, nervous hands. She twined through my fingers, exploring & then just sat there for a bit, then continued exploring. She was just the most darling baby. She still is. She's just so cool.
:crazy02: Squiggle is calm once ya get ahold of him, but he's a bit more high-strung. Whenever I go to get him out, I have to hold one hand at the top of the tank & then reach in w/the other.
:noevil: Sparkle is new & a baby, so I'll have to reserve judgement on her until she's more settled in. So far, she seems to be a very sweet baby...just really quick & jumpy. It's to be expected since she's only 2 months old & new here. I really look forward to getting to know her personality & hope that she's as sweet as her brother & sister are. :cool:
