Scales my Coworker

This is Scales, he is our adopted corn snake at my work. We got him about 4 years ago when he was seized by the police from someone's home. He is a great snake and loves to help me feed and clean the fish and turtles along with educating others about reptiles.

If only everyone could have snakes at work.. *sigh*. By the way, how did he happen to be seized by police?

We are not exactly sure about why they took him. I'm guessing the owner was being arrested for something. He was just a hatchling then.

Thanks for all the comments, it's nice having a snake, turtles and fish at work. And the beach is across the street and I can go in the water with the kids from camp, it's great.

In the picture of you, there is a round window and on the opposite side Gretchen had me install driftwood around a mirror (and she added to it) so you could see the window and the harbor.

I remember that snake it was about 6-8 inches long when I last seen it.
Do the still keep it there all year round?

Scales is sooo cute...and wicked cool name, so simple I wish I named one of mine that..lol..
I too wish I could have a snake a work...I don't think I'd make many tips tho....lol

Yuppers, he stays there all year round Kim takes care of him.

I have critters at work, too; four-legged, and no-legged. (I don't suppose the two-legged teenagers I teach count as critters!) I'd be quite unhappy if I didnt have them around.
