Pet Corn Snake

New member
Well guys, Damien is/has been in Deep blue for a while! well he goes Really pail rather then blue, He's seriously having trouble seeing, feeding him this week was a nightmare, how do you get a nearly blind snake to see a dead mouse? Exactly! its hard! lol, well ill keep an update here : ) :crazy02:

I find my snakes in blue feed just as well as when freshly shed. ESPECIALLY with the royals as its all about seeking heat.

Corns don't have great eyesight, its all about tasting or "seeing" with their tongue. There is a member on here with a corn who was born with no eyes and is doing just as well as any normal corn.

Some just prefer not to eat in blue. I like to give them that time to "flush out" then feed them straight after a shed.

wow!

thers a member who has an eye-less corn?? thats amazing that its doin jsut fine! id love to see some pics of that i bet its well interesting! are ther any pics allready been posted or anything??

Damien Shed Last night, i love his new color, and he's grow abit over time : P

Had him 5 months now! : ) He's doing great : )

Congrats George, it's nice to hear he's doing fine. (Or well sorry if it isn't proper English) Can you post a pic or two of him when you have a chance. Keep us updated, I love waking up and seeing a nice shed.

I don't know, I've got a couple that seem like they have a little trouble finding the mouse when they are blue, too. But it's not like they can't see, it's like they've been awakened from a deep sleep and are taking a few minutes to figure out where they are and what they are doing. It's not like feeding a snake that's been out actively hunting.
