A lot of people say that if you give a snake a dead mouse he won't eat it.... is that true? are there some snakes that don't eat dead mice?

Also here in Mexico this is the only mice i can get frozen:

whats sizes is this?
is this a hopper? or a sub adult

Most corn snakes will readily accept frozen and thawed mice. However, you can find the odd one that refuses them and wants only live. But you can also find the odd snake that will even have a color preference, refusing to eat, say, black mice.

The mice in your attached photo look like they are adults. Have you tried any of the companies based here in the USA, like RodentPro and The Mouse Factory, to see if they can ship to your location? I only mention this if you get a snake that cannot handle adult mice as you'll need another source of mice of the proper size.

Or you may have to try to buy an adult snake. All of mine have always eaten frozen mice- even the one wild-caught and babies that were previously fed live.

Well... they sell pinkies too, but only pinkies and the ones in the pictures... yeah I sent a message to the mouse factory and they don't ship to mexico =(... should my snake be fine with pinkies and adults?

Have you thought about asking shops near you that sell reptiles where they get their in-between sized mice?

how old is your snake? you could buy pinkies and feed 2-3 of them to your snake until he is big enough to eat the hoppers and sub adults. good luck! :)

There's only one pet shop in my area that sells frozen mice and other stores only sell live pinkies, not other sizes

luvmycorn: I still don't have my snake... I'm still buying everything I need... I have everything now =D except the snake hehe I still don't know If I should buy a cali king or an amel corn.... I think im going for the cali

If you do get a snake that can't handle a full size mouse yet, I'd second the recommendation to go with multiple pinkies until the snake is large enough for adult mice. Also, in any bag of mice, there's a certain amount of variation in the sizes. Some people are annoyed by this, but I consider it a good thing. Try to pick out ones from the bag that are close to the right size.
