Gig 'Em Ags!! Whoop!!
I just went and bought some new silk plants and vines from a gardening center a couple of days ago and I need to clean out my cages this weekend. I want to make the appearance of my cages a little more appealing to the eye, but I also want to make sure my snakes are safe. How should I go about disinfecting the silk plants before I add them to the cage, or do ya'll even do that and just trust that the plants are sanitary when you buy them? I've always disinfected everything before, but I don't wanna ruin the coloring of the vines with my 10% bleach mixture. Any advice would be great. Thanks :cheers:
 
I have lots of silk plants in my tanks. When I buy a new plant I wash it in boiling water (mind your hands!) and then just rinse off with cold water and dry. I've never had any problems. ;)

I agree with Plissken. I decided on hitting Michaels after seeing some of the prices in the local pet stores. :sidestep:

But Michaels is good when they have a sale.
 
lol I hit up Hobby Lobby because all of their floral was 50% off. Got 4 vines and 3 plants for 15 bucks!!! :cheers:
