Silly Albino Hoggie Pic

DeadMouse

Hungry, hungry Hognose!
I was cleaning tanks the other day and was taking pictures of this albino hoggie pair I'm trying to get to hook up when they just went into "pose" mode for me. I think it's a funny picture, so I thought I would share :) Unfortunately, we haven't come up with any real names for them, but the female (on the left) I always jokingly call "chunky stuff" because she is so fat.

I know they're a pair, but what first popped into my head was:

"Okay son, this is where the cage opens up and our job is to look as cute as possible . . . puppy eyes! big puppy eyes! See told you, free food!"

They both look like they want to say something. That would be a perfect pic for one of those cations contests. She looks a little angry, he looks like she's the boss.

That really is a great picture and I think the little hubby is probably thinking "If momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy" lol.

"And now...our impression of goldfish in a bowl."

They are both ADORABLE!!!

Thanks for all the funny comments!

This picture is definitely one of the most comedic and personable ones that just made me laugh. It's really cute too because they are actually really sweet with each other. The female has such a bulldog look to her while the male just looks so passive and goofy. Unfortunately I just don't see the male all that interested in copulation, but again, maybe he's just not brave enough to take on ol' chunky stuff

What's that stuff on the moms mouth? Dirt from the substrate or something wrong with her scales?

Anyway are those high reds? I would love to own a pair of those. Sadly last time i checked there like 1.000 euro per snake over here. Little less for males

It's just substrate crumbs. Rabbit pellet crumbs to be exact. It comes off very easily.

No, these guys are just simple albinos, although the female does seem to have a lot more white base coloring which probably seems to bring out the orangy coloring more. The "extreme" red albinos are still very pricey often fetching $1500 (yearling) whereas yearling regular albinos are dropping in price all the way down to $500 but average more around $600-700.

HAHAHA That is the funniest pic I have ever seen! They look like they just got busted doing something bad! LOL

Too cute! :)
