Silver mooses!?

Tula_Montage

It's Jager time!
I picked up a little silver male, and patternless fawn (Gold) Shiney female yesterday.

I now have 4 breeding groups consisting of 1 male and 1 female, soon to add 1 extra female to all the groups. 3 out of 4 are not established colonies, constantly being moved about and such, so the introduction of a new female will be ok. I have tried and tested each group with a different female and all cope well with it.

They have been all over each other recently so hopefully the moose farm will kick off...

Heres some pictures of various males and females + babies from the original fawn pairing.

Aw.. Yey for the mooses... um.. I dno if i should breed Tangos food, or spend £5 a month buying them....Buying them monthly is cheaperl.. probs just keep doing that, lol

Best just keep buying frozen. As you only have one snake atm, its probably more hassle than anyting else to bother breeding mooses.

They are cute little buggers though, could you slap them off a wall?! LOL

I need to persuade ma mam to get me a new setup and another snakie for the setup :D..... umm.......

I only have two snakes and I breed mice. Although, breeding the mice is a hobby that has the benefits of providing food for my snakes. I also work at a pet store, so when I have extras, I take them there and get credit for more mice later.

wheres the moose?

oh.. FOUND IT!

a silver moose :)

doesnt keeping the food as pets make you feel guilty when feeding them to your snake? I'd fear that, buying a moose farm and then becoming too attatched to the mooses to kill them.

I have no problems slapping them off walls... The only ones I am attached too are he original male and female. But they will get fed off when they have done their duty.

I breed my own rats, and when I first started I wondered the same. I was told not to name them. Its the only way to not get attached. I don't mind having to gas them I just don't hang around and watch them die.

I made the mistake of getting attached to the mooses that I bought to breed. Now I cant breed them because I dont want my female mooses lives to just be one long pregnancy  . So now there just pets that i will eventually breed.

Hmm... I call snakes.... snakes. And mice... mice. Maybe it's just me... But like half of the people here seem to be outside of America, like Tula lives in Scotland, so maybe its a non- American thing. :)

"maybe its a non- American thing."

I don't know about that, I call them mice too. I think it is a scottish thing, or quite possibly, just an Elle thing, lol. :)

Well then I shall bring my Japanese heritage into play and just call them all "nezumi" so that not even the Japanese know if they are mice or rats. :) Or both... *scary music plays*
