Snake Collar and leash patent

I love that there is someone out there who actually thought enough of snakes as pets and having needs that they came up with this. With all the drama going on in florida and people generally not liking snakes anyway. Even if it doesn't work, I like that someone is considering it.

That would definitely make me more confident about getting Wadjet out when there are multiple children around. They always want to see her, and Alli loves showing off her pet, but corn snakes are, ultimately, a fairly small, agile animal who generally are just looking for a place to escape to and hide in. She's a pretty laid back corn, but she's still a corn.

Seems like an even worse idea than the iguana harness to me. Just doesn't seem like a snake is going to acclimate to being leashed.

My snakes REALLY don't like having things around their necks. I even once tried to loosely tie a wide satin ribbon around one of my snake's necks, just for some fun photos, but he just kept slipping his head backwards out of it whenever I would try.

I don't think it would work for any colubrid. A big slow boa or python maybe it could be used as just extra security. I know my big Dum likes to go outside, surprisingly. Whenever I have the door open to let in some sun and fresh air he automatically goes to that side of his viv, as close as he can. So we go out in the yard when it's warm.

Yeah. I don't think that it would work, but this guy put so much thought into this, it makes me happy. I read through the claims, and it seems this guy seems to really care, an least, which is great. Sadly, I doubt it would work.

"...wherein the key-shape design of the collar provides a light-weight and flexible collar wherein no metallic parts touch a snake when collared."
