snake home pics?

Hey, just wanted to see some pictures of peoples snakey homes. my room mate and I are new to corn snakes, just wanted to see how people have them set up.

Thanks.

Here's a few pics of my viv (20 gal. long) I have 3 hides (1 warm side, 1 cool side, and one of those "rocks" that you put up against the glass. Half the rock is on the outside, strong magnets keep the outside half up against the glass. It's great for viewing when they are resting in their "home". My corn pretty much stays in the rock hide exclusively.

Joolz68,
In the pic of your viv it looks like you have paper towel rolls strung up across the back of the viv, does your snake use those?
It is a cool idea that I would like to try!
Thanks for the pics.

This is Alfred's favorite place to hide. Before I got this, he would burry in the aspen. So seeing him hide in this made me so happy. Let me know he was more comfortable to be out and seen.

My snake uses them alot. That's the main reason I cut them in thirds: when Nibblet was in there, I couldn't see it. You can string toilet paper rolls, also.

I strung them on a poseable vine (got idea from Sbourget). Then I wound plastic vines between the rolls as spacer and to keep the spaces from getting larger (didn't want Nibblet to fall out).

I'm soooooo getting one of those bamboo things when I get my new baby :) I think it would die with Kieran... he's good at knocking things over :)

I also love Shrimply's tank... little snakeys or big ones? I found as my guy got bigger things had to come out of the tank to make more room for him. I'll post one of mine later. Tried to snap a picture of mine today, but both sets of batteries are already dead. Apparently they drain pretty fast :(

yea. the two figures in front of the tank are Mr. Smith Vs Neo.

and wow you guys got nice vivs!!! i just wouldnt wanna bother with cleaning all that up a month lol.

Well, here is a couple of Kieran's home. I apologize for the quality, but I have vaulted ceilings in my rooms and the light is very far away :) This is a 29gal tank that was given to me, placed on it's side. Four clips keep the mesh in place, although I've never seen Kieran challenge it. The log is new and as usual he's ignoring it :)

The rest of my snakes are in a homemade rack. :santa:

Thanks for the comments. It is a real plant in the back and there is instructions on my site as to how i plant them up and ensure the snake don't make a mess of them.

The vivarium is 4ft by 2ft by 2ft. My guy is a normal corn and is about 4ft long. He shouldn't grow a lot more so the hides won't need to be replaced.

As for cleaning it really isn't hard. Just lift out the hides and get in there with the hover. Spray it down with cleaner then everything goes back in. Only takes me about half and hour.

For some reason I just to that aspen substrate :shrugs: ..It just doesn't look one bit natural to me.Sorry for that, but hey thats just one noobs $.02,so take it for what its worth :grin01: .
I have always like a dark base.More like what you see outside,,terra firma my friends.I do hope to move my little guy/gal into a larger tank,so as to be able to fit in a few live plants. Now THATS cool and "natural" looking
