Snake Names

Numbers would be tough...

Names associate so much easier with pictures. How long does it take to memorize a new friend's name? And their phone number?

Hehe, you're really making it tough on yourself using only numbers. :)

My normal phase is called Ike after the Canadian kid in South Park (my Ghekos are called Jimmy and Timmy after characters in South Park too). Ike has had alot of names though...my boyfriend changes it every time the snake is grumpy with him!!
My anery is called Murphy...my Mum said he looked like a Murphey and she bought him so I aint gonna argue!
I might be getting a sunglow from a friend called Kellogs (Kellogs Corn Snake!! he he) and my other friend has a sunglow called Tango...I dunno if you lot in America get Tango, Its like Fanta.
Anyway, thats my lot!
Rachel:D

Well it was very easy for the first 10 corns.....but once it's out of 10 I don't think that I can count anymore....... Very sick right now.....got to rest.....

As for my corns, I have a real problem naming animals that have no ears to hear you call them! However, my family insists on naming some of them.

Those with names:

Oakee (an okeetee male . . .duh!),
Doakee (an anery female, but what else after Oakee?),
Pumpkin (a cremesicle male), and
Sienna (a cremesicle female)

They quit naming them after I brought in so many so quickly, but that's just fine. Once the babies start to hatch, there won't time to think of names. In fact, there won't be much time for anything at all!

my single snake(sigh) was named Orion in the beginning after the constellation. that was when we still thought she was a guy...then we figured out that "Orion" is actually a girl, so now HER name is Angel. (dont know why it just sounded pretty)

This might take a while...

Yes, I am one of those that names everything, so mine all are numbered and have 'call names'.

Ophelia - my first corn, an anery multihet, it just seemed like a good snake name

Aspen - a beautiful, big pink snow male with a very tranquil personality

Dell - a very handsome charcoal zig male that I have right now on breeding loan, name as in "Dude, I got a..."

Rudy - big normal female with a unique/aberrent pattern. One of many of mine named for my favorite baseball team, the Arizona Diamondbacks. (Rudy is Craig Counsell's (3B) nick-name)

Toni - clutchmate of Rudy with some of the same pattern tendencies. Also from the D-backs, as in Tony Womack (SS).

Isabella - amel female, just a name that seemed to fit her

Seth - ghost male, Nicolas Cage's character in City of Angels.

Darius - snow motley male, overheard it on a soap opera once.

Josie - ghost female, just a pretty name.

Tess - pewter female, from Guarding Tess, a good movie if you ever get a chance to watch it (another Cage flick).

Gwendolyn - normal motley female het snow, from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Titania - snow female, also from A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Phoenix - hypo female, named for the city I lived in for 3 years, also, duh, the home of the Diamondbacks.

Mattie - Okeetee female, for Matt Williams (injured, 3B)

Terra - Anery zag female, a friend from Ireland uses the expression 'not terra.' If something is 'not terra', it just ain't right...so, she's the opposite of that, she's perfect. ;) Plus the name has a good ring to it.

Trance - Snow zag female, named for a music genre I was introduced to right about the time I got her.

Gonzalez - Okeetee male, named for Luis Gonzalez (LF)

Damian - lavender male juvenile who just died this week (much sadness), was named after Damian Miller (C). RIP, little guy. :(

Mary - charcoal female, she kind of has a star pattern to her head (as in the story of Jesus, Mary and Joseph...)

Juno - blizzard female, as in Juno, Alaska

Randie - hypo het lav female, named for Randy Johnson (P)

Hmmm, those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. :)

I have an oketee female Sassy because she is a little witch. Once I pick her up, she is fine, but until then, I am bit multiple times. If she were my first corn, I don't think I would have continued.

Guy, my first corn, classic colored. I just liked the name. He's a big old, curious baby. Guess what sex!? (Obvious)

Scooter, my male oketee, because in year 2000, his birthyear, the were the hit thing.

and....

Candy, my unknown sex little amel. Most gentle little girl. Chose the name thanks to the colorings. First hatchling corn I ever saw soo small.

mine are pinky and the brain.

my friend mikes are Norbert and Daggat (angry beavers)

My candy canes on the way are going to be Santa, Santas little helper, and stockings to stuf(my moms christmas buisness mascot)

My friend jordans snow we call casper.

And my moms we call Pat ( from snl because we could never figured out its sex)

Jimmy's Crack Corns

Actually, my seven, soon to be eight year old son, James, didn't like that name for his new business enterprise. His choice: The Corn Snake Pit. I guess that will be it, but, so far, I've done all the financial backing.

We...uh, he has:

1.0 Normal = Spot
1.0 Charcoal = Aku (On loan to my son's school)
1.0 Normal, het ghost & lavener = John
1.0 Caramel Motley = Yoshi
1.0 Snow (ZigZag) = Cotton
1.0 Silver Queen Ghost = Anakin Skywalker

0.1 Anery Motley (Type A) = Ryoko
0.1 Charcoal Ghost = Yoshiko
0.1 Snow = Big Fat Giant Snowball
0.1 Okeetee = Hermione

Regards.

Dean.

Wow, I think you should win some sort of award for digging up a thread older than Roy Munson!!

I vote for Kola.

Don't bring me into this. The new Roy embraces or overlooks the (*pauses to think of politically correct and adequately sensitive word*) foibles of our newer members. ;)

I vote for Kola too.

I have a stripe named "Schism." I got the inspiration from a Tool song, but looked up the definition and liked the word. It means

Ecclesiastical. a. a formal division within, or separation from, a church or religious body over some doctrinal difference.
b. the state of a sect or body formed by such division.
c. the offense of causing or seeking to cause such a division.

It seems to suit a snake.

My new snake that I got today (whoo!) is named Lilith, because I like the name. She's a hypo motley.
