Snake Room

Nice, tidy, organized snake room, and some lovely snakes that looked like they didn't want to be videotaped! LOL. I hope someday to be that organized.

I love it! My snake room is currently nasty pepto pink, I just haven't got around to painting it. I may steal some of your decorating ideas!

Very tidy and organized. I like the all white melamine racks. I'd like to build some like that someday. How did you attach the side dividers to the shelves above and below? Did you drill holes in the dividers and shelves and sink pegs in them? Also, you just keep the whole room heated, yes?

The dividers just side in. that way I can adjust the amount of compartments on each level depending on what type of bin I am using.
Also, you are correct. I heat the whole room to 82 degrees. I have never had any problems with this. no regurges, good sheds, ect. and the bonus is I can incubate the eggs by just setting up the egg boxes on the shelf.
I built the racks myself, using melamine from home depot. They are a few years old now and i have had no problems with the shelves bowing. I believe the reason to that is that there are dividers and the units sit flat on the floor and not on wheels.
downfall is they are heavy and moving them would be a big undertaking. However I have been in this house since I was born and do not plan on moving anytime soon :)

Oh! Well that's easy and convenient!

And wow! 45 years in one house! I'd start to get a little "itchy." Hard to stay in one place that long. To each his or her own!

That's what my ideal snake room would look like. Very nice!
I heat my snake room (more like a hallway really) to 82 using the same kind of heater and have had no problems either.

Nice to see some well thought out, CLEAN, organized snake keeping. Very well done!
Thank you, keeping it clean ... that is why I only have as many as I do. I think if I kept adding to the collection, I would not be able to keep everything as clean as I like it. Once things get let go,...that's when trouble begins! lol!!

Great looking snake room! I'm moving into my new place in 18 days and I can't wait because I'll finally have a "snake room"! Did you build the melamine racks yourself?
