Snow corn left in front of my apartment.

lumene

rebuilding my life
So, Saturday I went out, came back and found a fat, fat, fat snow corn snake in a critter keeper in front of my door.
I live on the fourth floor of an apartment building- no key, no entry type...

I can only say ?????????

Some folks just make you despair don't they? I suppose at least they thought to take it to someone who knows about them, rather than just dumping it outdoors.

Sounds like a lot of potential work and expense, not to mention all the quarantine issues and lack of background info. Are you going to keep it? Wouldn't blame you for not wanting it anywhere near your current animals.

He/she is here. Quarantine is only a bit of an issue since I already have three in Q... but oh well.
As for if it is staying... I have a friend who is partial to snows. I will get a hold of her and see if she has room once I've made sure he/she eats and swims.

Picture. Not named.

The hide was also in the critter keeper.

Certainly is a looker patternwise! But yes, s/he won't be winning any sprints, bless!

I wish someone would dump a snake at my front door! then maybe i could convince my other half to let me have another one. lol

I only have kids dump garter snakes from the neighbors pond at my house :( I wish someone would drop off a corn. She sure is FAT. Glad that whoever left her at least gave her to someone they knew had snakes.

Yeah, I don't mind having another snake... but a phone call, email, note, anything would have been nice (I mean, if they know where I live, contact should be an easy thing, I would have even picked it up had I known). As it was, I had to wait until the boyfriend came home so I could walk to Wal-Mart to pick up an extra tub and water dish, then I moved my quarantine guys into the bedroom and left this one in the living room.

PS. there are no mites in her enclosure, the little dots on the paper towel are some kind of plantation soil substrate that was in the bottom of the critter keeper.

(I like how we all decided its a she).

How strange. Do you have any idea who it was? I mean, the person must have known where you lived so it has to be someone you know. That mystery would kill me, eating away at the back of my brain. Good luck with her though :)

Its not anyone I know personally, they would have called.

This is the second time something of this nature has happened in the building. I took in a chilean rose hair a boy was trying to smuggle into his grandparents apartment... perhaps word got around?
I am very curious to know as well, but I'm too busy with homework to do much more than give her water at the moment...
