Hey you used some of the pics I took! Cool! Sunday was fantastic!! I had never seen a Grass snake before in real life, and now i've fallen in love with them! Such neat animals!!!

Yes, your pictures of the grass snakes where far better than mine.. Only the first picture of the grass snake is mine.

I heard the WingDings are a very aggressive species (oh yeah, I went there.)
 
So nice! I actually think I saw some grass snakes in the petshop some time ago, is that usual?

If you saw Natrix natrix (any of the sub species) in a pet shop I am suprized. They are illegal to keep. Not even with Budep paper work. They are highly endangered.

I went looking for grass snakes north of Amsterdam and the vipers in Hengelo (next to the German border).
 
Yes, the dark ones are the vipers. And in Vipers you can tell the males form females by color. Females are brown like this:

I'll check it out next time I'm in the shop. The Latin name is not on the viv so I hope they kwow what they are. They are oliv green with black as far as I rememeber..... maybe any idea what they could have been?

By the way; nice to find a very endangered species!
