hey my corn snake just shed yesterday and the back 1/4 of his shed is still left on can i just leave it like that and let him get rid of it or should i do something to remove it if its not harmful to him i will leave it on but if so what do i do

Yes it's "harmful'. If left on it could cause the tail tip to fall off.
Get a room temp damp towel and let the snake crawl through it while you hold it. You might have to help and rub it lightly too. Try this and get back to us.

ok i really need help i just feed him and he still has the shed on and now every time i go to pick him up he goes into strikeing position please help

leave it for now as it's just eaten, and left shed isn't as bad as a regurg....
Make a moist hide for it and in 2 days get it out and look at the shed.. It may of come off by then...... In future check your snake before feeding... It's the best time to do it.....

i actually didnt realize he had some left on till i gave him the first pink then i was freaking out so i asked you guys what should i do to make a hide moist

ok i did what i belived would work to raise the humidity first i put a dixie cup cut down with warm water on the hot side and second i put a damp cloth over half of the tanks holes tell if you think this will be good egnough or if i should improvise

You've raised the humidity by doing that, but as he's had a bad shed, that probably won't work in getting what's left off him.

Yes do improvise, by making a moist hide. You can do this without handling him and risking a regurge. This thread has some instructions: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24583&highlight=moist+hide

If in 3 days skin still remains, try this: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?p=733722#post733722

Whichever method works for him - hopefully the moist hide will be just fine - it is most important to make sure the tail tip and both eye caps have come off in the shed.

Let us know how you get on.
