Hi everyone. I went out and bought a corn snake and I'm not sure what type or morph or what not she is. I got her from a pet store. I just couldn't leave without her. But I think next time I'm goin to go to a breeder that way I know all that I need to know. But here's a pic of her. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

From that photo, I would call it an anery based upon the fact that I see absolutely no orange in the ground color, not even on the neck. I would feel better with my guess after another shed or two.

Well there's no red or orange on her anywhere and this pic was taken after her 2nd shed. Thank you both for you help.

It could actually be either Anerythristic OR Charcoal

Both of these are very very similar, and you really wouldn't know which one until adult colours come through

Both lack the red pigment erythrin.

Anerythristics have a grey body with darker grey blotches outlined with a black band. Once mature Anerys usually develop yellow on their chin and neck, and the grey colours can turn into dark brown.

Charcoal are similar but genetically different to Anerys usually with less contrast between background colour and saddles and sometimes lacking the yellow colouring. This morph was first bred by Kathy and Bill Love from animals caught from Pine Island, Florida

Hope this helps

Yes thanks to everyone. This has been driving me crazy not knowing.. I think next time I buy I'm definitely going to a breeder so I know. Lol

I agree with Susan. It's an anery based morph. I am thinking probably a ghost with the more brown tones but like she said once we grow up a little and have a few more shed it may become a little easier to confirm. So I think you are save calling it an anery right now. You will be surprised how much we change in the first year.

While it theoretically could be a charcoal, I would be very surprised to see a charcoal in a pet store.

It looks just like my Anery when she was a baby. I can see the nice browns in her saddles.
However, if you see any oranges, it could be a classic.

I kinda thought she was an anery. But I wasn't sure. Cuz that's exactly what I wanted. And I had been debating in whether to get her or a snow. Cause I jus love snows. And it took me weeks to finally decide which one I wanted her or a snow. I think I was driving my bf up the wall with my yes no maybe decisions. But when I saw her she was mine. Lol The next one I want ill be goin to a breeder for sure cause I want either a pied side bloodred or a lavender or something like that. Course Ild really like to have a golddust. They are beautiful. Who knows.

Golddusts are great too! My next pair, if and when I ever have space, will be a Honey, genetically similar to a golddust, but not quite, and a Caramel het Sunkissed. Be able to produce both Caramels and Honeys.
