Somethings is very wrong with My Corn Snake..

Something I just thought of. Did you recently use any type of chemical around her, or in her cage? Maybe to clean, or something?

I can't see it being that Cat, My Vet knows I use rocks and has never said not to use them.. I just feel so bad for her when she goes into one. it breaks My heart thinking of maybe losing her. :(

It must be awful to have to see your snake go through that. I hope the vet finds out what's wrong.

Never, When i wash the cages I take them outside hose them down and use vinegar and water then rinse them out . Always used that to clean the cages..

I'm just trying to come up with ideas on what could possibly cause your snake to act like that.
Hopefully the vet can figure something out.
Personally, I would be looking for a different vet though. I would not go to one that felt heat rocks were ok.
It's been common knowledge for a very long time that heat rocks are dangerous.

This morning She isn't any better. Seems like now anytime She is stimulated She has a seizure It is breaking My heart but I do not think She is going to come back from this. I called the Vet and He said it sounds like some thing happened neurological and as bad as She is getting them He doesn't feel it will be some thing He could do to make Her better. He said I could bring Her in if I really wanted to , but felt the drive of over 100 miles each way would be for nothing..

Sounds like she either got into poison somehow or she had a stroke.
No chance of poison , so must be the other? Now today any thing sets Her off and after She is done She just lays there :( I guess it's time for Abby to go, I hate it , but I also hate seeing Her this way.. Thank You every one for trying to help Abby and I out..

If it continues, and she doesn't die, you should take her in to be put to sleep. It is NOT humane to freeze her, if it comes to that.

I'm so sorry this is happening to your snake, and especially when she is so young.

Do you mean like carbon monoxide from a kerosene heater, or lysol or air fresheners, or fumes from household cleaning products, or synthetic ingredients in potpoopori & cheap pufreme, or formaldehyde fumes embedded in a holidays shipping boxed present?
I bet theres a lot of chemicals everywhere around me every day that I don't ever consider.

Nothing like that has changed,, That is why I do not get it, Nothing different but Her.

There are 3 things I have heard of that can cause seizures in snakes. Overheating, chemical exposure, and dehydration. I also believe that it is likely they can have seizures from natural causes such as strokes or a condition they have since birth such as epilepsy, but I haven't really seen this documented anywhere to be sure.

Chemical exposure could happen without you even knowing it, for example if your neighbor sprayed their lawn with something, and enough of it got into your house to affect your snake.

Does she seem to be getting any better at all? I have heard that animals that have gotten overheated or exposed to chemicals will often improve with some time, although they may never fully recover. If she isn't recovering, especially considering what your vet said, it is probably time to consider putting her down humanely. :(

She isn't any better at all. She just lays there really not moving until She goes into Her fit :( I am worried that She isn't even drinking now because if She does move she goes into one. I have 5 other snakes and They r all fine so I not think chemical. Dehydration , she always has water in a big enough bowl she can get into.. Over heating either , She is in a 30 gal tank and she can go to the other side of Her tank to be cool. Right now it reads 74 and the heated side reads 84. It's almost like she had a stroke or something snapped ? I am giving her the rest of the day and if it keeps happening I will have Her put down. I am trying to wish her better. :(

I have to agree with Nanci, that if she's not improving/getting worse, and even the vet doesn't think there's any chance, then you should take her in to be euthanized. She is suffering, and it is not fair to her to make her endure that.

I am having Her put down today, I have a appointment at 4pm :(

Poor baby...But you're doing the right thing, and maybe something will come to light when the vet examines her.

That's so sad. I'm sorry. :(
You're doing the right thing though.
