Striped Ultramelaner (aka Ultramel Anerythristic Striped cornsnake)

Ultramelaner

KJ, do you need someone to take care of that snake since you have to be traveling so much? I can drive over and pick him up when I come over to do some road cruising looking for my own Silver Leaf Kisatchie. He is a sweet looking snake -- full, nice stripe, -- congradulations!
Also, good luck on the rest of your eggs, some of us are anxiously awaiting for you to show us what comes out of some of those other eggs you are cooking over there!

Nice clutch KJ!!! :D
That Ultramel Anery Stripe is awesome! Very beautiful. I can't wait to see pics of him when he's had his first shed.

Good luck with the babies! :)

Thanks, everyone! We should be able to get some post-shed images in a week or so. FYI, I have another cl;utch hatching already that may have one or more of these gems in it, too.

even though it's pastel colours this new little boy is right up my alley! Have to get you to send me one in the next little while! lol :)

LOL....Kasi likes grey, so we work with a lot of anerythristic-like morphs. :)

Very cool clutch, congrats! By the way, I love the name - ultramelaner - must not have been on the forums when that name popped up.

Not sure I'd call it a name. It's something we starting using a a joke. Seems to have stuck with a few people. teach me to make a joke. I should have known better. The name just makes my laugh - that's why I use it....lol.

No comment, eh, Brad? How do you feel being the only other person (well, only other one over 5' tall) who have seen these in person? Seriously, I hope you are felling better, and the herp trip was a blast last night. I just was tickled pink to be able to show of a few project results to a good friend last night. I meant to show you a couple other things, but we just ran out of time. Next time!

Sweet clutch!!

New Orleans, eh? We are about to be neighbors again soon. :)

I'm a February baby; amethyst is my birthstone, violets are my flower, and purple has always been my favorite color. If you just happen to slip a pretty purple baby in with my future caramel motley, I won't mind at all!

I still wish Rich would pull the trigger and call the Lavender Bloodreds by the name of Amethyst. I really dislike plasma. ;)

I'm with you, Brent. "Amethyst" brings to mind shades of purple; ooh and ahh. "Plasma" brings to mind a straw-colored liquid portion of blood, or a phase of matter; yuck and huh?

KJ, I assume you're keeping all your pretty little purple striped babies?

Way to go, KJ! I'm expecting the same this year, not as many opportunities as you though  Keep you fingers crossed for a female for me!
Again...awesome...congrats!

PS. Waiting patiently for that post-shed pic . . .

I third the motion. Working in the lab, and blood bank, plasma has no charm at all for me. Amethyst....nice word, nice color.

Thanks, everyone! (Caryl, I only wish I had the room to keep all of the ones I've produced so far...lol. I've popped out one or two in 4 different clutches already...if memory serves. One was a dud, though, since it was malformed, but the rest are OK. Totaled healthy ones is still under a dozen, and I only plan to keep 1.1, I think.)

I don't know why, but I have found nothing wrong with the esotic name of...LAVENDER BLOODRED! Plasma is a good description of the target coloration with that morph, so I don't see a problem with it. Still, I don't LIKE it......BUT, this isn't a thread about crappy names chosen for combo morphs made up of genes not represented in THIS morph.....lol.

"Esotic"? You mean "esoteric"?
But seriously KJ, I have never been a fan of lavender/purple corns....because I've never seen one really all that lavender/purple enough.
You may here have done me a great financial wrong...by creating a snake that has become an imperative for me to possess. That is lavender...enough. :D

People keep bumping this thread to torment me, so I might as well say something.

They've shed and one or two have eaten. It'll be a little while before I get time to look at them through a camera lens, though. :( The red bulls are still a little ways away. They were laid much later than my other bulls, etc.
