Stripes & more

Tom Tuttle

Fightin the C
This clutch was sired by my Striped Tess/ het caramel & amel X Striped/motley Amel/ het caramel (first time female). Unfortunately there were only 10 eggs in the clutch of which 9 went full term.
Since I can't distinguish the Tessera from the striped/motley in this clutch, they will all be sold as stripes/motley. Perhaps somebody will end up with a homo Striped Tess.:shrugs: The 1st one pictured still hasn't shed yet.

I'll be holding at least one of these three back depending on the sexes for a little while. The last one still hasn't shed.

I'm really, really, REALLY, REALLY digging this little trundle-flatulence/whatever/cool striped corn worm.

I'm ALMOST willing to bet that #5 is a striped Tessera. But as soon as I actually bet on anything, it turns out to be the opposite.

It very well could be. :shrugs: Sounds like you have the same luck gambling as me. I'm waiting for the last one to shed~;) I really like the head patterns or lack of on a couple.

The very 1st one pictured shed today. The last one should tonight, it just cleared today. I really can't wait for it to change clothes!

LOL!!!

I'll let you guys figure it out!! I have more than enough on my plate already!

shoot...

I'm waiting on my butter stripe to shed, with hopes of it shedding some light on whether it may be a butter stripe or a butter stripe tessera. Don e-mailed a couple examples, but even he is just as confused as Tom and I. I would seem in some cases a striped tessera isn't exactly the most easy to ID.

Nevermind the 6 babies I have about to post shed and the 15 or 16 eggs I have pipping right now, but I hear ya on the enough on my plate.

Sure Is a Pretty baby though.

That group of 3 in Tom's self reply are just stunning, let alone the whole group, but #5 sticks out the most to me.

I'm just glad corns aren't as crazy as GTPs when it comes to ontogenetic color changes, I'd go nuts. I remember with my first GTP (an aru-type) that I went as far as counting the white scales coming in during her ontogeny. I went as far as keeping a record of white scales per shed. :crazy01: I'm sure Kathy knows what I'm talking about (herpsofnm = cnewsom on MVF, Kathy).

All seriousness...Tom if you decide to release that #5 please PM me. I don't have the funds now, but I'd love to work something out should you be willing.

Tom...you thinking that's a butter motley or just an albino motley with some caramel influence? Pretty neon looking snake there!

I'm not sure which one you're referring to. :shrugs: If it's the first one pictured in post # 11 then it's an albino motley/ het carmel.

Chris, don't get me started! I've got 6 that are still changing, and it's stressing me out.

And Mr. T, if Chris declines, (provided, of course, that you let #5 go), please let me know. Can you tell we love this snake?! ;)

Kathy
