Stump and Tequila! My Beardies!

Just a little update on Stump in case anybody was wondering. He is doing very very well! Still not gaining as much as I'd like him too, but,I'm sure that'll come in time. He's actually learned how to jump and leap which has scared the bejeezus out of me! I'm so used to him being calm. He climbs up on to his basking spot all by himself and can get off by himself. He likes to lay on his river rocks a lot and is staying awak much longer. I no longer have to take him to his bowl of greens to get him to eat. He goes there all by himself. Still no luck in getting him to eat cricketts or such on his own. He shows no interest,BUT he will now lick his babyfood mix off of the spoon by himself. I'd say pretty good progress,so far!

Tequila is just plain 'ol Tequila other than the fact that he HATES being in his tank now. He CONSTANTLY wants out other than bed-time. I can't leave his screen off because of the cats so he has to "beg" to be let out. We did give him a sandbox to dig in. Guess what? He refuses to dig in it! Instead he poos in it which I guess is okay since it makes it easier to clean up. Oh and he uses the sand when he's throwing a hissy fit and flings it all over the tank so I have to bust out the shop-vac a couple times a day. It's like having a 2 year old kid in the house again! I love him, though!

Can you put him in the bathtub to entertain him for a while? That will keep Isabel busy for at least 30 minutes. I have to keep adding hot water, though.

He HATES baths LOL! He just got one about an hour ago and splashed all over me like a baby struggling to get the heck out of that tub! Although it does make him use up a lot of energy. He was quiet there for a bit after his bath. Now he's back to scratching the glass and flinging sand. It's my own fault! I've spoiled him with going outside everyday and taking him with me wherever I go. Now it's so chilly and wet I can't take him outside and I'm not going anywhere so he's kindda stuck for a bit(yes,I have one of those dog purses that he goes in with me. Shhhhh!)

More pics for you guys! I love 'em! Shows how much my kids love my babies!

Couple more pics!

This is Tequila's new trick! Make me think he's stuck somewhere so that'll I'll come to the tank. As soon as I open the screen to get him loose he's already up on his tree or basking spot waiting for me to pick him up! Sly little guy!

And and updated pic of Stump. He's in the process of shedding right now so that's good right? He was shedding when we got him and he's shedding again so I take that as a sign of growth,or is it completely different for these guys? Either way, he's doing very well still. He's Scooter's little best friend and he likes to walk around cuddling him! It's very sweet!

Tequila is so funny, little Stump looks a bit better but still looks like he's got a bit to go before he's out of the woods. Is he eating better yet?

Tara made me do it!

So after seeing Tara's pics of her beardies I decided to to pose my Tequila in some smexy poses! I was going for the whole pearls on a bear skin rug look but I didn't want to put him on my white fur so he went on the black fur instead(yes it's real fur). Funnily enough,he actually enjoyed it! Unfortunately before I could add some more pieces,my camera battery died! It all gave me a good laugh and helped me out some since my Stumpy passed and that's been bumming me out.

Please don't tell him he's a boy!

Yes,Stumpy passed on last weekend in his sleep on one of his little river rocks.I cried for days and so did the kids. He has a little grave with a headstone(has his name and everything on it). I miss him a lot! The day after we buried him,I woke up and the kids had put little notes and pictures and hearts in his empty tank. That made me break down even more. Such sweet kids I have!

That is so sad.:( Was really hoping he would make it.

I cried for days and so did the kids.

I can well imagine. My sincere condolences.

That is so sweet and touching. Would have made me cry, more, too.

BTW I will be at the Cleveland show on the 16th. If you go, that day, it would be nice if we run into one another (not literally ;) ).

Well today we finally took down Stump's tank. The kids threw a fit over it,but it needed to be done. I also moved Tequila into the living room where he would have more interaction since he no longer has Stump. So while I was doing all of that, I let the kids play with Tequila. I could hear Jonathon's remote control car going out in the game room. I walked out there and saw that they had Tequila on the truck and was driving him around. I demanded they take him off immediately! Guess what? They took him off and that little booger climbed right back on that truck! So I guess he enjoys hitching a ride!

Too funny!!! I can hear him saying, "Monster Trucks!" "Monster Trucks!" over and over... LOL.

"Let's get this thing movin'!"

I just had to warn 'em not to take any fast turns! I didn't want the little guy flying off! LOL!

Sorry to hear about Stumps, RIP litle one.
Beautiful shots of Tequila though, and trust children to find fun things you'd never have thought of to do with Tequila, who looks like monster trucking is the best fun ever for a beardie!
