Super Anaconda Hoggy

No, I didn't get a picture of the amazing anaconda phase hoggy at Daytona. Here's a link to a different one, but the two at Daytona were more of a green phase, with the dorsal pattern but less side pattern.

So I mentioned them on the hoggy group, and learned that there is a "super" form, which you get by breeding two anaconda phases together. Holy you-know-what!!! That is just crazy!!!

the axanthic hoggies look awesome, but that chap does look rather appealing...

i almost got a couple hoggies but restrained myself with the thought that i have already spent to much.

i did not no that there were any co-dom hoggie morphs.

I had a couple of hoggies... I hated their pissy attitude. They were cute for a while, but the feeding strikes and constant bluff aggressivness get boring after a while.

I Love Hoggies!!! I wish I could afford to get different morphs of the Western. Mine cracks me up he acts all tough, when really he is a sweetie!!!!

Hi Nanci :)

Were those Anacondas you saw at Daytona at Chad Fuchs (CF Snakes) booth? I know he had 2 of them there and talked to him a bit about them.

Actually, I just broke down and bought one myself that I should be getting next week, weather permitting. Here's a picture of it:

I talked to Paul Farmer (the person I bought mine from) and he told me that, in regards to the Patternless super form of the Anaconda, his uncle Brent Bumgardner was not only the one that accidentally produced the Anacondas from what he thought were basic normals, but that he also has the only 4 Patternless in the world right now. This was the first year that they sold a few of the Anacondas between them. I know Chad had 2 at his table, possibly one belonged to Jeff Nemanius (Gateway City Reptiles) that was also at that table as I know both of them are really into the hoggie morphs. Paul also informed me that Brent is currently working on Patternless Albinos and Hypos and will hopefully work on a Patternless Axanthic soon. How cool will those be?

I seriously can't wait until the morphs in our collection reach a mature size although our Pink Pastel male, Berry, has finally made it and seems to know what to do:

We had a visual hook-up on them but they only seemed interested in each other for one day. Hopefully he's virile enough and that once was enough to get the job done :)

BTW, we hatched out our first hoggies this year after 3 other bad clutches. Even this clutch had only 5 good eggs out of 12 and one didn't make it. Here's one of the little guys:

All 4 have eaten and are doing great :)

Sorry to hijack your thread Nanci :noevil:

You can hijack my thread all you want! Were you at Daytona? You should have called!!! Yeah, they were at Chad Fuchs, where our group spent a lot of time because that's who Dave123 got his coxi from.

He had the quad hets, too- possible quint hets. Wouldn't that be a fun clutch!!

Yeah, I'm a total dingleberry!
Honestly though, I wish I would have taken the time to contact you guys and try to hook up since I don't know exactly when I'll ever get to go back to Daytona since Alaska Airlines (whom my wife works for) just dropped service from Portland, Oregon to Orlando. I was on the very last flight. Hopefully they'll pick it back up next year, but with the current status of the airlines, you never know. But the thing was, my wife was working that flight (I hitched along) and things were very loosely planned about getting to Daytona. In fact, we left Portland at 10pm friday night (I had been up since 10:00am), got into Orland at 6:30am (3:30am our time), then had breakfast, rented a car and drove to Daytona, got to the show around 10:30am, left around 4:00pm and got back to the hotel around 6:30pm. By the end of all that, we were totally wiped out. I had been up for over 30 hours straight by time we went to bed. Heck, I was wiped out by the time we even made it to Daytona :sobstory: So, I'm not even sure how great of company we would have been, we were kinda edgy all day from lack of sleep. But I do apologize and sincerely know that I missed a great opportunity to get to meet a lot of great people such as yourself! I even had to bail out on Brian (BHB, Snakebytes) on his offer of hooking up with him and his crew for dinner later that evening  That would have been very very interesting to attend as I know they are all crazy ;)

Anywho...

That's cool! Meeting Chad and Jeff was a real pleasure. While I had never done any business with Chad before, it was Jeff whom we purchased our male axanthic hoggy from. They definitely had a lot of nice animals including all of their hognose.

Quad hets? I know he had the double het axanthic/albino hogs, but I guess I didn't see the quads. What were the quads het for?

My wife and I are very excited about the future of hoggies (which is why we keep investing in some of the insanely priced morphs). There's obviously a lot of key morph ingredients out there to get some really fun projects going. I can't wait until we start producing some of these awesome morphs :crazy02:

Here's a pic of us with our good friend Brian Barczyk at Daytona:

I can't remember! One of the quad was not hypo, because that was the possible het. He had the 16 results listed on a sign, with the 32 possible hets if both parents were also hypo. I _think_ they were ~$450.
