David, maybe if you skip a meal & offer a mouse-scented rat at her next scheduled feeding she will be hungry enough? I am sure she will like rattie once she tries it, it's just getting her to take that first bite!
Got a pic of her?
To be perfectly honest, I prefer giving rats rather than mice- they have more muscle tissue... I always see a more visible growth spurt once I switch my boas to weaned rats- much moreso than two adult mice.
Matter of opinion though
She is smart, I already spoil her!How gross can you go? You could try a rat-gut bath.
From the sounds of it, if she refuses the rat, she gets a mouse. Dont let her train you, David! So far, you're rewarding the behavior you dont want.
I dont know anything about if snakes learn things or not, but even fish know what day feeding day is and what portion of the tank I feed in. Maybe she knows if she holds out, you'll give her what she wants.
Yeah I will find the most recent oneGot a pic of her?
I'm with him. All of ours go onto rats once they are big enough. Usually takes 1.5-2 years to get the corns/kings onto them... the boas almost no time at all.
Can you buy just one at your local store? We've never had an issues with an animal already eating f/t mice not eating f/t rats....
