Sydney (IJ) - Freshly shed!

Snake Dave

Schrödinger's cat
Hey everyone

Sydney shed last night :)

It was nearly complete, but she left a few inches on her tail. So I put her in an 80 degree bath (in her feeding tub). Well, needless to say she didn't like it one bit, so she ended up hanging from the sides (anyone who has a Really Useful Box will know what I'm talking about) like a little GTP, looking annoyed. Then I did the damp cloth trick; worked like a charm. :)

Oh and I thought I'd include a picture of her last feeding too. :)

So here's her pictures, thanks for looking!

All the best

David

Thanks Nanci, her temperament is lovely (surprising for a baby IJ) and she's a great feeder. And yeah, she is gorgeous :)

Thank you both. :)

She's about 16 inches long now, and I'm weighing her tommorow, so I'll give an update on her weight.

Thanks Dave! :)

It was so cool; there's a pattern on her shed! I've never seen that before, since Salazar is an amel so it doesn't show up, but since she has melanin (and quite a lot, lol) it appeared on the shed.

Thanks Dave! :)

With my male whitesided black rat, you can see the black in the shed. That was the first time I had ever seen it too! It is pretty cool.

OMG she's STUNNING, damn all these pretty snakes I keep seeing for the first time and have no idea what type they are yet from that moment on........I will have one.......this one makes a third on my "random snakes I want"

Thanks Mary :D

She's an Irian Jaya Carpet python, and she's 2 months old. She's a darling, but some of them can have serious 'tude, lol. Most of them grow up and become really docile, a bit like Corns.

What are the other two?

Beautiful carpet python. My ultimate goal after a few years of keeping (and who knows - breeding) corns is to get a carpet python. They're beautiful! All pythons (including balls lol) are banned in my municipality, but I'm a rebel who doesn't play by the rules
