temp is 100 F!!!

No trying to bust heads or egos here, and I can understand being thrifty... but you need to be willing to spend a little money to properly care for your snake. (Or any pet for that matter) They aren't going to be dirt cheat, but you should be able to find what you need for a reasonable price.

No need to sorry I would just leave him with out heat till you are able to afford to properly heat him.

I am glad that it seems cheap enough for you.

A fan won't help cool down your snake. As I believe Nanci stated in a different thread, fans only help cool down animals that have the ability to sweat, so it's not going to help your snake out. I'd just shut off the heat and put an ice pack on the outside of the cage nearest his hide.

I should have clarified, here. I was namely speaking about handling after feeding. Plus, I actually have a snake that becomes overly snarky if she's handled too much (and then subsequently will refuse food). Sorry about that, should have explained better.

No worries! My snakes are all individuals, some tolerate handling a lot more than others :)

Also, what kind of thermometer are you using to read the temps? Is it one of the stick-ons or a probe thermometer?

Well its helping cause it was at 100F and now it's at 85F

Probably because you turned the heat pad off. I'm sure you read this but where are you taking the temp and how are you taking temp. A
gain, I'm sure you've read this but you should be taking temp with a digital type thermometer directly on the galss over the heating pad.
Again I'm sure you've read this, not on the bedding or the air above the bedding or the air in the room.

Susang that's sarcasm right.

And with being a kid and having no money you shouldn't have got a snake. I am 14 but I had a steady income of a summer job when I got my snake and have enough saved up to care for my little guy for a while. Just please do whats best for your snake. Thanks.

I have a perfect Cage for him feed him once a week play with him he has too hides a water dish vines and plants. And Aspen bedding and I have a job, I'm 18 I just have lots of bills to pay

Are they both cheap?

Im am not trying to be rude-

But...You shouldn't be asking if 2 of the 4 most important parts of owning a snake is cheap because you need those two materials to own a snake and let it thrive. But if you must ask you can get a good rheostat for 10 USD(12.2 CAD)and UTHs are around 25 USD (30.5 CAD)

Susang that's sarcasm right.
