Tesla the Tessera!

Gonna do a progression thread with my little boy Tesla (that you all helped me name!). Quarantine is over today, so I couldn't resist taking him out and taking a bunch of pictures! He was very intent on slithering up my sleeve, so the pictures are a bit blurry as I had to keep nudging him back down my arm. I'll be feeding him either tonight or tomorrow morning and will post pictures (or, more likely, a video) of him eating. He doesn't really jump when I touch him anymore, which is awesome. I'm really glad he's settled in. I'm also preparing a larger tank for him now that his quarantine is up. Pictures of that and him in it will be here as well.

P.S. Apologies for the amount of human in the pictures (and my ugly mug in one), I don't trust setting him down for a photo shoot just yet. Gotta get him used to modeling, and right now he's very camera (err, cell phone) shy lol.

I know, it is SO hard to let your first one be for a few weeks! I mean, it's like a shiny new bike at Christmas and you are told "don't touch it until Valentine's Day"!!!! Who has that kind of patience?

The tattoo reads "Nosce Te Ipsum" which, if my research was good, is Latin for, "Know Thyself" or "Know Yourself". It's the motto of some military base or something.. which is why I was pretty sure that's what it meant... that plus hunting around for a good 2 weeks for any alternate meanings/spellings etc.

Oh, and he really does love to coil up. Either when he's burrowing, in one of his hides, in my hand, or wrapped around my arm. Tesla is a very fitting name, I think.

He does and he doesn't lol. Sometimes he goes right for the camera, but if I have it flipped to the camera on the front and he can see himself he tries to run away. It's kinda cute, but I don't like doing it cuz it clearly scares him.

Been a while

It's been a while, but here are a couple new pictures of Tesla. He's growing quite well and eats like a champ. I haven't taken his weight or tried to measure his length in a good long time, but he's doing good. He sheds beautifully every time, and is in shed right now. I'm considering getting him a girlfriend as well, perhaps a nice butter or caramel.
