Last year we purchased a pair of adult Normals het Lavender, Amel, Stripe from Kathy Love. Our goal was to get a clutch of beautiful babies of all colors with some stripes too! We bred them this spring and finally got what we were looking for! The female originally laid 20 eggs but 3 were slugs and 3 went bad soon after. Of the 14 eggs that hatched last week, we got:
1 lavender stripe
2 lavenders
1 opal
1 amel
2 normal stripes
7 normals

Here they are hatching:

This opal was the reason I wanted the adults in the first place! So gorgeous!

The lavender stripe is beautiful!

And 5 days later, a few of my favorites (which all look ready to shed soon):

This photo doesn't do their colors justice. I'll try and post more once they've shed and aren't so dull. I don't know how anyone can get such good pictures of their babies together....these guys wouldn't hold still!!!

And we got lucky...the female double clutched with 24 more eggs (2 were slugs)! I hope our 2nd clutch is as fun as this bunch!

Thank you everyone! Its much more fun not knowing whats going to come out of each egg! It was long awaited since they took 101 days to hatch! (we incubated at room temp)

Update

Here's an updated photo of the babies (now 1 month old):
This Lavender Stripe has been a finicky eater (kept regurging pinkies so we are force feeding it mouse tails for now).
