The Candoia appreciation thread!

Tula, how is their temperament. I imagine mellow with some individuals being a wee more snappy around feeding time. Am i right?

Well I received a bite from Minerva last night, and one from Lunar Dawn today... Oh and from Blythe LOL.

The carinata would prefer to be left alone, but Burton, Blythe, Bree and Berlingo are all totally child proof... not a hint of aggression unless there's food in the air ;)

Well it depends on the species, sex, whether they are CB or not, age, colour, locality etc. You are always going to pay a decent price for a CB baby or adult. You are going to pay more for much desired colours like the reds and oranges etc instead of the usual brown and grey. Theres not a lot of candoia on the market, and the ones that are, are usually WC so you don't want to pay too much for them due to the high risk of them not thriving well in captivity. All but my carinata are CB, so I have paid higher prices. But I don't care, they were more than worth it to me :) I paid £600 for 6 new candoia in December alone...

600£ for 6 animals isn't so bad. Now if only they were legal here in Portugal :)
Always found them extremingly alluring.

Xayide has been looking very sheddy, dark, and moody lately. I wish she'd just get it over with!
